Our hiking trip, Tour du Mont Blanc Highlights, was managed flawlessly. All of the many details including accommodation, transfers, meals, luggage transfers and stored luggage were executed perfectly so we could fully enjoy our hike. Our guide, Gideon, who was a last minute fill-in due to unforeseen circumstances, was fantastic. As an avid ultramarathoner, he has a real passion for the area and loves sharing his vast knowledge of the region. We had a wonderful trip and would not hesitate to book another trip through 57 Hours and Cloud 9 Adventures. In fact, we will soon begin our search for our next guided adventure.
Thelma was an absolute rock star, we loved having her! Wonderful guide, excellent cook, very friendly, set a good pace… I cannot say enough good things.
A great organization. No complaints. Marion gave very good advice. I recommend without any hesitation. Thank you.
My wife and I recently completed the TMB Highlights Tour with Cloud 9 and Tom as our guide. It was the best trip of our lives. Challenging, beautiful, rewarding. We are still thinking about it daily and I’m actually emotional thinking that’s it’s over. Cloud 9 took care of everything and made it all very easy to plan. Tom did a great job making sure everyone was doing well and guiding us to the best spots in the trails. I couldn’t recommend them more!
Wow! Just wow! Everything I was hoping for and more. The geology was jaw dropping, the trip organization was stellar, and Sunny’s intimate knowledge of the canyon allowed us to see the little secrets that other will miss. But the best part was Sunny’s competency in not only leading the trip, but invoking a camaraderie and chemistry amongst a group of strangers that will inevitably lead to long term friendships. That is is a gift to all of us!
Bine did an amazing job guiding our group, making adjustments to plans as needed, answering all our questions, and helping with every detail possible from hiking technique, equipment and clothing advice, language translations with locals, shopping and food suggestions and every possible concern we might have. He was also very knowledgeable about the area and could offer very interesting commentary and insight. With his positive, upbeat demeanour, deep knowledge and willingness to help, we really could not have imagined a more perfect guide.
Solvi was an absolutely great guide. Very knowledgeable, prepared, engaged, thoughtful, fun and (bonus) a great cook! He handled some difficult situations calmly, expertly and with good cheer. We couldn\’t have asked for a better guide!
Magnus was extremely informative, patient with all of our questions and took great care of us in the harsh weather conditions of our hikes. Addi was the perfect behind the scenes guide tending to the logistics, driving us safely through the ever-changing terrain and supplying the scrumptious food. Fenris, the Siberian Husky, was the perfect companion on our spectacular hikes!
Mae was incredible. She is professional, caring, with a deep love for Iceland. I felt very safe in her hands on our entire trip. She has a great personality and sense of humor. She wanted each of us to have a great hike and we did.
Great hiking, our guide was fantastic, and as always it is the people who make the trip. Recommend this trip to anyone wanting to hike and see Iceland.
Maddi and Natalie we\’re amazing guides. They took great care of us and were very kind and attentive.
Heidi was very experienced and positive, and very inspiring! So great to get a guide who lets you grow at your pace. Fun and informative. Stunning climbs, I grew a TON as a climber in my skills and confidence.
Andy was great!! Calm, outgoing, full of knowledge, interested in helping, great to be around. We enjoyed the hike!
2nd time we have used these guys. Once with my 8,10,12 year old kids. And a 2nd time with some out of town experienced climbers. Both had an amazing experience. I am not a climber and do they were patient and knowledgeable.
I went on the Croatia trip with Explorer Chick and was blown away by how well this tour is put together. Not only were the locations we visited amazing, the meals were wonderful, the comradery with the rest of my tour was special, and our guide, Kayla Lamb was unbelievable with all of the details and making our trip enjoyable. I can’t wait to take another trip with Explorer Chicks, particularly any with Kayla as the guide!
One of the best ways I can imagine to explore the mountains. Already trying to plan the next trip.
I had a wonderful experience with Blue Ridge hiking the Roan Highlands. Hannah was a fantastic guide! She is experienced, knowledgeable and just a lot of fun. Every detail of the trip was carefully thought out. The scenery was so beautiful and a little fog in areas actually added to the beauty. I was traveling by myself and very fortunate to be with a great group of people for this trip. We had a lot of laughs together. This is my second trip with Blue Ridge Hiking Company and I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone from the seasoned hiker to the first timer. They will take great care of you. Thank you Hannah! You are the best!!
I just finished up a 5 day 4 night 44 mile backpacking trip with blue ridge and it was one of the best experiences of my life! Our guide was Jenna and she was so inspirational and knowledgeable about the Appalachian trail. I am now completely inspired and planning a 2025 thru hike of the AT. Just book the trip you won’t regret it!
The team of kookoo climb is an amazing one! starting from the initial arrangements with Xavi with his accuracy in providing all the details, as well as his prompt replies to every single inquiry from my side, till the completion of the Mont Blanc summit with the extraordinary mountain guide Marcal, who has taught me many things during this great journey! I highly recommend this successful team!
I recently went on the Salkantay trek and Rainbow mountain visit with crossover team. the team helping us was amazing. Juan Carlos is a great tour guide and also fun to be around. The chefs and porters were amazing and we had great food and service for 5 days with the team. I would always recommend Crossover for any activities in Cusco region.
We took a guided walk from Sarria to Santiago de Compostela. Our guide was extraordinar as she helped us to bridge the gap with the locals who speak only spanish. She also knew where are the best places to eat or drink along the way. And above all she managed to integrate the group members that came from different place of the world. The hotels on the way were excellent as well as the gourmet food every night at the hotel or at nearby restaurant. We strongly recommend the guided tours and we would do it again soon.
Orri was the absolute best tour guide during my 7 day Iceland trip. Not only was he the most knowledgeable about his land and the history of it but he made it fun by telling folk stories and tales of elves. He was so polite and friendly, always. He answered any question that was brought to his attention and was always excited to give detail. He took us to the most fascinating sites and he made sure he hunted down the northern lights for us to see. We were able to see them perfectly for 2 of the nights! He took our pictures with his camera and made sure to use his little techniques for getting the best photos so we could have them as keepsakes. (Keep in mind we were also very lucky and that’s not always the case!) For our trip specifically, he always made sure dietary restrictions were met (for me) and always educated us on the local cuisines and why it is a specialty. When I get to Iceland again, I will be sure to have Orri as my guide. There really is no way to see the island without someone like him.
I trekked Mt. Kilimanjaro with my dad for several days with this company, led by Abdala Huruvi, which was friendly, welcoming, and most of all, professional! He knew many facts about Mt Kili and the natural world. He also borrowed me and my dad some of his hiking clothes so we could climb on top of the mountain safely. The food they prepared during the trek was delicious and overall we had a great time spent with Abdala and his company!
A truly wonderful experience. Thunder River, Tapeats and Deer Creeks were all flowing fantastically. The trip was challenging but in a good way. There were just a few places if you had a fear of heights, things could get tricky…but manageable. The rest day and walk down to Deer Creek falls was well placed and magical. Our guide Alyssa is wonderful and worked incredibly hard to make sure everyone in our group had fun. I’d highly recommend this trip for those looking for a challenging and unique experience of the Grand Canyon.
Any of the TSX Grand Canyon Challenges are going to be absolutely amazing. The routes that TSX will guide you along will leave you speechless as you soak in the magnificent beauty of Grand Canyon National Park. I have had the pleasure of being on two different routes with TSX in the last two years and as an Arizona native, the canyon never fails to impress me. The guides are knowledgeable, engaging, and helpful. You would think that with all the hiking in the canyon that you’re going to lose a few pounds along the way, but you can rest assured that the guides will prepare you meals fit for royalty. I can’t say enough good things about about the TSX Team and their amazing trips into one of the world’s most beautiful places.
We had five beautiful days on a luxury safari trip. Our driver/ guide Chudi did an amazing job. One of us had a birthday while we were on the safari. Chudi prepared her birthday and found a Masai dress for her, we were very happy because we had never done a birthday party of that design. He was very kind, friendly, knowledgeable and gave us lots of information. He did the best to make sure we saw everything we needed. Thanks to him we saw the big five. Our accommodation in karatu and Serengeti was amazing. We are glad to have chosen Rashad Adventure Limited. All communication from beginning was excellent.highly recommend Rashad Adventure.
Our guide was an awesome leader! She was so kind and knowledgeable. She made each of us feel welcome.
Exemplary organization, dream trails and landscapes, enchanting accommodation, tasty meals… A super dynamic team, always attentive, focusing on safety and offering constant technical support. The guides know how to adapt to everyone’s level. I did the Haute route des 3 pays (countries) and I was not disappointed by the technical level, challenges as I like them but well balanced, alternating with panoramic roads and walks through small villages. I’m already dreaming of a next adventure with E-Alps!! A big thank you to the whole team!!
A great active holiday in beautiful Norway! Everything was very well organized and the program was well-thought-out. The varied and challenging hiking trails and relaxing yoga classes fit together perfectly, allowing you to get away from everyday life. Endlessly grateful for this extraordinary experience!
Wonderful Camino walk with excellent accommodations. The best were hotel Ferromenteiro in Portomarin and the Boutique in Arzua. Having the van take our bags from town to town was extremely helpful in completing the daily walks.
Paradise for mtb. Very professional riders, excellent food, and you feel the love and passion the owners and the staff have for their clients and mtb. Beautiful place, it is a must visit!. Erick and Jess are very attentive, friendly and you feel this positive energy as soon as you get into their place.
Overall tour was amazing! Our guide Chris was wonderful!
Tom is a top notch guide! In addition to delivering a great ski touring trip, he is a fun person to hang out with back at the lodge. I feel safe touring with Tom.
My wife and I did the Núpsstaðaskógar trek in Iceland with Dan in July 2022. Between amazing hiking and scenery and Dan’s wonderful guiding, it was a perfect trip. The route, selected by Dan, passes through spectacular, varied and diverse terrain. Broad green valleys with streams and impressive waterfalls. High desolate plateaus and ridges with big views of glaciers, peaks and the Vatanjokull ice cap. Full day glacier crossing. Fabulous campsites. Were completely alone for the whole trip. Dan is a fantastic guide. Fun to hang out with, good stories and conversation, high level of technical skills, patient and supportive and attentive, well organized. I can unreservedly recommend this trip and Dan – one of the highlights of our trip to Iceland.
Arctic Adventures, and specifically Krista our guide, did a fantastic job!
Saga was our tour guide in December 2019 – we don’t normally go on tours, but not wanting to drive in Iceland in winter and not knowing the language or culture we thought it best to try a tour. Definitely the best decision ever!!! Saga was brilliant!!! She’s friendly, young, full of energy without being over the top, competent, knowledgeable, accommodating (we had someone with a broken foot on our tour and the lengths Saga went to, so that she could participate, were so far above & beyond the call of duty it was phenomenal). Saga also had a wonderful way of incorporating a relevant story of Icelandic Culture into whatever adventure we were embarking on – we could’ve listened to so many more hours of her stories (and Love the accent!). Absolutely fantastic – Highly recommended!!
We had such a great time on both of our tours in the Narrows with Nick and on Angel’s Landing with AJ! Both guides were friendly, outgoing and informative which added that little something extra to our adventures. We would highly recommend!
Our guide, Josep, was amazing! He knew everything about the geology and ecology of the volcanoes and glaciers of Iceland. Even more interesting, he told us about Viking history including Icelandic sagas, folklore and mythology such as the story of Katla the volcano. Josep knew every river and stream, mountain and hill, valley and canyon, and he could tell us how the landscape had changed over centuries and during his lifetime
Pille was a fantastic guide. A lot of planning goes into the hikes. She carefully chooses the best hikes for the group and the weather. Pille is supportive and encouraging.
Where do I start with the Escalante Route trip? For my first time experiencing the beauty of the Grand Canyon it was absolutely breathtaking. The canyon truly evolved through every mile of the trek. Even when the sun went down you could virtually see every star in the sky, which made it hard to want to fall asleep (even though you’re physically exhausted!). Not only was it my first time at the Grand Canyon, but it was also my first-time backpack and the TSX team was a huge part of my success. Charolotte was a terrific guide who gave us endless words of encouragement and yummy meals to get us through. This trip was a mental and physical challenge, yet extremely rewarding. It without a doubt has made it into my top three accomplishments. If you are a curious adventurer who’s up for a challenge this route is for you. I’m already eager to plan out my next trip with TSX.
I loved the mountain bike guided tour! Credit must be given to our group’s guide Genís. He quickly realised that there was a skill gap within the group. In order to ensure everyone’s safety and enjoyment he only took us down routes where there were two different paths, one being easy and one being more challenging. I would 100% recommend to anyone who does not mind getting a bit of muck on themselves.
We have done: kayak, mountain biking, paddle and kanoe at Outdoor Norway with our family of 4, one 10 years old and one 14. Each time we had a great time, the guides were really nice with the kids and we always felt secured. We were not very skilled but they always adapted the tempo and gave very good explanations. The equipement was excellent and in very good condition (Super cool mountain bikes :-)). We really felt like they were here for us to have a good time unlike another club in Voss it didn’t feel like a tourist cash machine, it felt family like and chill. We highly recommend Outdoor Norway for families but it certainly works great for experienced folks too, the guides are highly skilled and very playful 🙂 Big thanks to our guides Ruben, Mattis and Miro.
All was perfect, The resorts we visited, the Backcountry, the dinners, I highly recommend Outdoor Norway!!! If you want skiing in Norway resorts as local, don’t hesitate contact them!!!
A paradise on earth! The place is grandiose, the facilities are perfect and the staff are super professional and super kind, everything is fantastic!
The BMG ski tour is MUCH better than comparable products in terms of food,
accommodation, variety of touring options, accessibility of terrain, degree of challenge, diligence of guiding, etc.
Orri is a truly wonderful guide. The itinerary was perfect and accommodations great – Orri took care of everything. Wonderful stories while we traveled from place to place. Always felt like we were going to (stunningly beautiful) places off the beaten track. A++ if you want a small group / personalized Iceland experience.
Great communication, professional advice, above and beyond service, exceeded expectations.
We had the pleasure of being on a group tour led by Orri. He was very knowledgeable and helpful with everything we wanted to know and learn about Iceland. He provided a great mix of history, local knowledge and personal stories. His enthusiasm surrounding our pursuit of the northern lights paid off. We have great pictures taken by Orri to remember it all! We highly recommend adding Orri to your Iceland adventure!
Yaritza was amazing. We had so much fun with her. She is knowledgeable & we loved listening to her talk about the history here. She went over and above. Unforgettable experience!
I went hiking and camping for six days in Hornstrandir. The landscape is stunning but the weather provides plenty of challenges. I went on my own, joining a group of five. This kind of trip throws people together from all over the world, and our group was up for anything, great fun, and fascinating people who I feel grateful to have met. Max, our guide was superb from beginning to end. Nothing was too much trouble. Very skilled and careful in navigating the environment. Very funny, and lots of excellent stories. He was a true inspiration. This was my second trip with Borea, after kayaking last year. They are an excellent company. I couldn’t recommend them more highly. Their trips are well organised and safety conscious. You definitely need to be properly prepared, and the other reviews have lots of excellent info. I would say, if you have an adventurous spirit, but are looking for the security of the organisation being taken care of, then this is the company for you!
My attitude to rewilding has forever changed and I really will be making some major life altering decisions going forward that will have a positive impact on me and the environment. Thanks again for such a wonderful experience!
I can’t even begin to describe this incredible adventure. It was the absolute best because of our guide Yaritza and the support from Crossover Peru! Please use them and you won’t regret it! The business actually cared that one of us got sick and made sure we were all able to reach our goal. The views were absolutely breathtaking and I appreciated Yaritza encouraging us to enjoy the “journey” to Machu Picchu and not just the end goal. The chef, Gregorio, was incredible and Aaron was our Lead Porter. They have the hardest and most important jobs and we felt like family by the end of our trek. This trip was life-changing. There were 5 of us from Missouri and then 6 other women that we met from Nashville and Wisconsin. They were all adventure-minded women and we bonded quickly over our time together. The encouragement and support from this group will not be forgotten and we now have new life-long friends. Thank you, Yaritza and our second guide, Luz, for everything!
PJS challenge provided experience that was like no other tour company I worked it. The company leader Perry takes pride in the services he provided and made everyone on our trip feel taken care of and above all safe. His staff was super friendly and happy to help us reach our goal. If it wasn’t for perry our trip goals would not have been reached.
Gisli did a great job leading our group on the ‘Off the beaten path’ trip. He was patient with those of us that were slow and great with the people wanting to do even more hiking and exploring.
Max has been my instructor and guide for many years, and I’m so grateful to have had such a fantastic mentor in how to safely interact with the beautiful environments that mountaineering and rock climbing brings. I first met Max during a week-long introductory course to mountaineering, and was immediately taken by his philosophy of bringing safety and fun together. Max is extremely knowledgeable, patient, diligent, and fun. His enthusiasm for mountaineering is infectious, and continues to be my mentor in mountaineering.
My time in Iceland was truly life-changing and I have to give a special thanks to Saga for leading such a memorable experience! From her passion for her country, the culture, and adventure in nature, every moment was truly inspiring. Now when I think of “happy places”, my favorite memories are our hike up Reykjadalur Valley to the hot river and our walk on Sólheimajökull Glacier that ended with a meditation underneath the sun and a rainbow! I will absolutely be back to explore even further with Viking Women.
Great Shasta summit experience with SWS! My family had a 5 person private climb with Kory and Jackson, and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience. One of our party had to turn around due to altitude sickness, so one guide ensured he made it to camp safely while the other made sure the rest of us got our boots on the summit! Summit aside (it’s optional, down safely is mandatory) the whole experience was educational, pushed us in all of the right ways, and one I’d love to do again!
I had an amazing time with Ekeney and her team. They took very good care of me the entire time I was in Tanzania. They ensured I was mentally ready for the hike and during the hike, pampered me, consoled me and encouraged me all the way to the summit.
I climbed Kilimanjaro with Ekeney for New year 2021 ! What an expedition, what an experience. It feels like we were sister going dancing macarena all the way to the top !! I highly recommend to make any trip with her. She is the African sun that will light up any excursion you will do.
A super mountain guide who can guide you around the mountains safely. Olle, her dog was very welcoming to my dog too when we both joined for a Thursday morning hike. I highly recommend to anyone who is looking for a nice way to spend time in nature
Silvia Santos was incredible. Outstanding guide. Very personable, professional and qualified leader.
Sylvia Santos was so amazing and made the trip even better.
Grand Angel took care of everything from A-Z, we every communicative and answered all of our requests. Would definitely book with them again. You can trust them fully to do what whey are saying.
Follow The Camino helped us with the trip of a lifetime. We had started planning our Portuguese Coastal Camino way back in early 2020. The pandemic put a hold on our trip until September 2022. I have to say that from a logistical, financial, and overall level, everything was perfect. The hotels were nice. The luggage arrived every day on-time. The included meals were all fine. And the overall value was outstanding. I would highly recommend anyone wanting to do the Portugal to Spain Camino to consider using Follow the Camino as their agent. Buen Camino!
SSC is one of the best organizations that I have had the pleasure of working with. I can confidently say that they are incredible at making climbing and climbing education more inclusive and accessible to all in a very unique way. Their guides are super knowledgable in the techniques and skills they teach, but also work beyond these aspects to foster a safe and supportive environment to optimize learning, safety, and fun. If you’re looking for the space to find education, support, reflection, respect, and a kickass time, any SSC event is the place!
Mladen and Tin were brilliant hosts.
Fortunate to of experienced 4 or 5 trips with walking women. Love the diversity of trips, the choices, ability to spend time within the group of extraordinary women or time independently. Nothing is missed, such a treat to have everything planned for you. Would highly recommend to all.
First class organization that cares about getting women into the wilderness with other women. From communication leading up to the trip to the actual in the mountains personal experience, AWExpeditions over the top delivers. I will work with this phenomenal expedition company again and gain.
My first time doing the Camino and the professional way FOLLOW THE CAMINO handled our trip from start to finish was second to none. The communication made it so easy to understand what we needed to do to prepare and gave us plenty of hints and tips to make the walks more enjoyable and make the most of the stunning scenery along the way. They also supplied a luggage transfer to our next hotel and the hotels were very clean, great food and excellent prices. We were given a kit with Camino Passport, Camino shell and a bandana which came in handy protecting from the sun. Over all FOLLOW THE CAMINO made this an experience we will never forget and would highly recommend them to groups or solo for a life time of memories.
I am just back from a truly memorable and incredible 7 day experience which was made so good by the attention to detail and going beyond my needs in relation to a holiday package from the people in “Follow the Camino “ from the pick up drivers to hotel staff to the quality of service I cannot fault one bit. My bag was taking daily and dropped off at the next destination. Breakfast was had daily. The quality of the hotels was comfortable and clean & tidy. I individual reviewed them all. This is not my first trip with “follow the Camino” and certainly won’t be my last.. well done – Gold star.

Ingaborg was amazing! Very knowledgeable and accommodating to all the different needs of our group. She worked long days to make sure everything ran smoothly and handled needed changes so well some may not have even realized changes were being made.

I started cycling 2 years ago thanks to Rémi, he gave me confidence and allowed me to progress at my own pace. He knows the trails like the back of his hand and always finds the best compromise to combine pleasure and progress. I recommend 100% 🙂
It was spectacular from start to finish. Super organized and friendly, with amazing views too. So convenient for a day trip and highly recommended!
Encarna was the perfect guide. Knowledgeable, helpful, caring, considerate and knew the hiking paths and village well.
Love Volpi: fearless leader, great outdoorsman, incredible chef!, great person.
Mattie was supreme! Safe and experienced driver to get us to the trailhead… super muddy and rutted. Very knowledgeable about the flora and fauna. Knew where to go for those special photos. Would ask for her again!
Once in a lifetime experience. Mike is the most incredible tour guide you can wish for. Great energy, accommodating spirit, very knowledgeable and super enthusiastic. I highly recommend his services.
This was my first time with Walking Women and I have to say it was just great getting together with a bunch of like-minded women enjoying the walks, the scenery, the chats and of course the cream teas! Chrissie was a great host and walk leader. I will certainly be looking to 2020 for another walking holiday. Keep up the great work.
I’ve been on 5 holidays with WW so far. They’ve always been well-planned. Always had great walks with knowledgeable guides and very good accommodations. It’s a great opportunity to meet people, and generally very enjoyable.
Amazing summer! This is an extraordinary experience and I recommend everyone to join Discrover kayaking tour around islands of Dubrovnik even if its just for a day. Cheers!
I have throughly enjoyed my holidays with Walking Women ! Well organised and responsive and always lovely warm and inclusive groups. The fab accommodation and wonderful places ensure that I will be booking regular trips with them
The Grand Canyon Challenge has been truly an amazing experience that I’ll remember for life! This is my first backpacking trip, and I’ve never carried a 30+lbs pack ever before. Looking back, I cannot believe I completed this challenge and can’t help but feeling so proud of myself. There so many things to remember for this trip – spectacular views, remote and rugged trails, awesome Team 4 Fab 5 members who supported me all the way through, and our guide who ensured my safety all along, cheered me up when I was pushing hard, and cooked awesome meals for all of us. I can’t wait to go out with TSX Challenge again for the next adventure!

Erick and Jess are very attentive, friendly and you feel this positive energy as soon as you get into their place.
This is our third trip here to backcountry ski. We love our guide and always request him. The experience each year is always different and amazing. This is the perfect escape for a few executives and we are already planning next year’s trip.

Few weeks back went on a women’s backpacking trip on the PCT. It was a great learning experience with our guides, Brett and Emily, who were so amazing. Both are such fun and enthusiastic women and they gave us a great overview of back-country backpacking. REA did an awesome job at organizing this whole trip. Julie was very helpful with providing the training plans and answering all the queries that I had. I would highly recommend REA for any hiking or backpacking trips. They are awesome!!
Lorraine was excellent, accommodating, and informative.
Stefan was an excellent guide. Very knowledgeable and experienced , with an understated sense of humour. He made good decisions to alter the itinerary when the weather changed. Met our expectations.
One of the best trips I’ve ever been on! I felt so safe even in the middle of nowhere on my first backpacking trip. The guides were helpful, supportive, and a ton of fun! Would love to go again if I get the chance!
I wouldn’t change anything about my tour. It was really perfect…Ivar, our guide, was one of the best because he really knows the area and the region really well, and he explained and it was really one of the best ski trips I have ever had.
Booked this trip during a visit to Zion, and was definitely one of the highlights of the trip. What an amazing experience! Our guide was very patient and engaging throughout the half day trip. I would highly recommend if you want to add a little adventure to your vacation. You repel several times into places you probably would not venture to on your own. Very unique experience and a ton of fun!
We just got home after completing the 4-day backpacking trip along the Grand Canyon’s Hermit Loop with Wildland Trekking. It was a once-in-a-lifetime, unforgettable experience. Thanks to detailed packing instructions on the Wildland website, and suggestions for training, we were well-prepared for our journey into the Grand Canyon. Our guide, Tolman, was very knowledgeable about the Canyon. He prepared amazing meals every night that went far beyond freeze-dried camping packets. He made sure we always had plenty of filtered water. He made sure everyone in the group felt included. We always felt very safe with Tolman, which allowed us to relax and enjoy this memorable journey. We highly recommend Wildland Trekking (and ask for Tolman if you can), and we will certainly be using them for future adventures!!
Perfect harmony between nature, host, and guest. What an exceptional place!
Sigrun is a great human and has a passion for her country and sharing it with others! I felt very safe in her hands and got to experience so much more than I ever would have on my own. I absolutely recommend her with no reservations! Plus, she seems to know everyone in Iceland and can get things done when needed 🙂
It was hard choosing a company out of so many, but AMAROK rocked it! Monica and Alberto are just these kind of people you want to hang out with, plus they have those super cool Defenders (which are amazing for photography). Every place they will show you is gonna blow your mind, no matter the weather. It’s definately money well spent! Thank you so much guys, loved every minute of the trip 🙂
Amazing experience!!! Thank you CrossoverPeru for making this trip incredible. Our guide Juan Carlos was a super guide. Thank you for your patience and knowledge. We learned so much and made it easy for us to enjoy Peru. I highly recommend to everyone!!!!
Crossover Peru was a great guide for our Inca Trail adventure. Lidman did a good job ahead of the trip to confirm logistics, organize specific requirements related to the trip. Edwind was an awesome guide during the adventure / hike and on the trails. he was a great travel companion, keep everything and everyone organized during the hike and was knowledgeable about the areas, history etc. Overall, couldn\’t have asked for a better tour guide before, m during and after the trip. Mochas Gracias a todos!!
If I could give YARITZA 100 stars I would!!! She is AMAZING!!! An incredible guide and even better person. She is extremely knowledgeable about the region, passionate about sharing the history and customs of her people, a kindred spirit in her love for the mountains, kind, funny, and completely in control of all the behind-the-scenes workings that we were oblivious to because everything was so seamless. There is no better guide out there, I can assure you!!! Where do I begin with the group of porters and our INCREDIBLE chef CARMELO?!! I am still in awe of the amazing creations he prepared while we were in the middle of nowhere on the Inca trail. A flaming duck to roast marshmallows! A turtle made out of a pineapple! A bird delicately carved out of cucumber! Carrying a bottle of wine to Dead Woman’s Pass to celebrate our friends 50th anniversary! The surprises continued and our mantra became, “But wait, there’s more!” This entire crew was absolutely amazing. You cannot be in better hands.
Nate brought us on an amazing guided hike to Mohawk Lake. He is knowledgeable, friendly, chill and perceptive. He knew exactly what our family needed to make the hike an amazing experience. It was a major highlight of our visit to Breckenridge!
I am spending a weekend relaxing in Breckenridge in the middle of a long business trip. I decided to book a 1:1 guided hike and what a great idea that was. The hike was exactly what I was looking for and took me to some places high above Boreas pass where I had never been before. The hike was challenging but within my ability. But most importantly, my guide, Susie, was just amazing. She has a beautiful heart, is just so kind and friendly, just knows so much about the mountains and was just a joy to hike with. Susie…. thank you.
Extremely knowledgeable, safety-oriented staff providing fun adventures and escapes for people at all levels of experience!
We went backcountry skiing with Kyle. He was knowledgeable, professional, outgoing and patient with us sea-level people! The route and location could not have been better! Thank you!!!
EPR is a great combination of the magic nature has to offer us and the right guides to see the show! The beauty of Moab is almost indescribable-definitely better experienced 🙂
We had the absolute best, professional, and very knowledgeable guides. I highly recommend you book your tours/excursions through Icelandic Mountain Guides!
Blackbird Mountain Guides is an amazing guide service! They tailor trips based on your individual preferences and abilities and are eager to help you develop new skill sets. The guides have extensive subject matter expertise and are extremely professional. I have done numerous climbs with Zeb specifically, including a recent trip a few weeks back – it was (as always) thoroughly enjoyable. There is a reason I keep coming back and climbing with Zeb – you always know you are in the best possible hands. Based on my past experiences, I am currently planning two more trips next year with Blackbird Mountain Guides. A top-notch company.
Sunny Stroeer is THE reason I summited Aconcagua on this expedition. She’s an excellent communicator, a thorough planner, rarely lets any minor detail slip through the cracks, and is attentive to everyone’s experiences on the mountain. Whether she’s hugging a fellow guide or describing past rockfalls and lessons learned on previous climbs, her expansive expertise and understanding of Aconcagua shines through at every moment. For anyone who wants to summit the biggest mountain of your life, I couldn’t recommend Sunny and AWExpeditions more.
This is the crew you want with you on an adventure! Rock, ice, or backcountry they make the day out one for the memory bank!
If you are looking to climb Mt. Kilimanjaro I definitely recommend climbing with Eco-Africa. Kili had always been on my bucket list and Eco-Africa helped make that dream come true. We chose to do the 7-day Lemosho Trek and the experience truly exceeded expectations. From the time we arrived in Moshi until the day we left Eco-Africa made sure we were taken care of, even showing us around Moshi and eating at local spots. On the trek, the guides, chef & porters were all fantastic. Every meal was delicious (you will not be left hungry) and the chef even surprised my buddy with a cake on his birthday. Overall it was an unforgettable experience working with Frederick & the Eco Africa team. I highly recommend and look forward to reconnecting one day in the future
The JHMG team provided a top-shelf experience for our custom backcountry ski adventure. The guides reached out to provide a helpful introduction and trip planning assistance. Our guide Pat quickly discerned the different skill and strength levels of our group members, and then tailored our adventure to accommodate each team member. Pat remained level headed and patient in the face of challenges and helped instill confidence in our team. We had a fantastic experience with Pat and JHMG, and hope to join for another adventure.
Eco-Africa Climbing is legit my best East Africa Tour Group!!! They took us in and for the duration of our tour and gave us more family that we could imagine. They were caring, thoughtful and always one step ahead to ensure that our safety and travel goals were met then they superseded them ☺️. I am a very very satisfied customer to say the least and will recommend them to anyone who cares to ask.
If you’re on the fence about hiring Southern Xposure Climbing Guides, this is a sign to go ahead and book their services!
I signed up for the Own It Women’s Climbing Retreat for March 2024, anticipating top-tier climbing, but everything exceeded my expectations. On day one, I was already learning new techniques and knots (I’ve been climbing for about 7 years).
Guides Simeon and Arcelia were both friendly and knowledgeable, fostering a supportive atmosphere where solo participants like myself quickly bonded with others. The locations – La Peña de Bernal, La Concepcion, and Las Peñas de Dexcani – were truly breathtaking, with challenging yet exhilarating routes. The delicious food only added to the overall fantastic experience.
We had a phenomenal winter adventure walking the length of the Paria canyon with some side canyon explorations. This was major bucket list check off! Sunny did a fantastic job as the lead guide. Our meals were plentiful and excellent. She had some great tips and tricks for comfort for winter camping. I enjoyed learning about the Paria from her and getting to know her better. She is a great steward of Leave No Trace ethics and safe backpacking practices. I also really enjoyed hiking with Maddi and Andrea who also guide with Dreamland.
Sunny was great about pre-trip communication. She developed a thorough pre-trip packet and answered my emails promptly. I really appreciate the extra time she took to give me gear, day hike, and reading recommendations. Booking was easy and I think the price is spot on for all that is included and her service. Her itinerary included hotel stays before and after the trip with associated meals. This was a huge perk that other groups do not routinely offer. It was great to have a “home base” in Kanab at either end of the trip.I highly recommend this multi-day backpack excursion with Dreamland as well as their other day trips.
I completed Mt. Baker Climb with AWExpedition in August 2021. It was a great experience and I would do it again without any hesitation. The expedition was well organized and planned. All safety precautions were taken. Sunny, the founder of AWEpeditions was professional and very knowledgeable, but more importantly, she is a warm and friendly person, very inviting and welcoming. She was able to build a great climbing team and deliver an amazing overall experience. I highly recommend AWExpeditions!
I did 2 experiences with Zion Guide Hub – full day hiking + full day hiking/canyoneering. Hector was my guide for both days. He was great – conversation, knowledge of area, & expertise with hiking and canyoneering. He also took great photos of me at different viewpoints and while canyoneering. Hector was also great at helping to navigate difficult areas – there were several times where I asked him where to put my feet to climb up rocks. For one of the excursions, I did Angel’s Landing hike. After that hike, since I was worn out from Angel’s Landing, he drive me to a couple of areas outside of the park with great views. For the other excursion, we hiked Water Canyon and did 5 different rappels. Both days offered beautiful views.
Our guided climb up Mount Baker with Blackbird Mountain Guides was absolutely incredible. I highly recommend to anyone considering doing a guided climb. Zeb is a complete professional — a highly skilled guide and a patient teacher. He was extremely prepared and made us feel fully comfortable and safe throughout the climb. As a novice mountaineer, I very much appreciated his patience and support as I worked through my nerves. A huge value add, Zeb also photographed our journey and shared the photos with us afterwards. That’s not something I would have thought of in advance, but the last thing on your mind is taking pictures during the climb. However they are incredible keepsakes to have of the stunning vistas. A bonus, Zeb was great company to keep over our climb. We will 100% be booking with Blackbird Mountain Guides for our next adventure!
Our guides Maria and Kayleah were great! Very knowledgeable about the trail.
Jack is a fantastic guide with loads of experience you can learn from. I had a blast on my adventures with him and would absolutely recommend him for any guided experience.
Amazing Back Country Ski day with JHMG. Our Guide knew exactly where to find the best pow! I wouldn’t hesitate to book again.
He has the highest level of formal guide certification as an IFMGA guide. Willie is an expert in all climbing, skiing and mountaineering disciplines. However, it is Willie’s passion for the environment and for teaching that really separates him from other guides. Willie is a wealth of knowledge and skill, and he can help any adventure seeker have an epic trip in deep powder, on any rock or on any mountain.
We recently participated in back to back weekends in the Intro to Backcountry and AIARE level 1 courses. As total beginners to backcountry skiing, we both feel much more prepared to plan and execute a basic backcountry ski trip! There were participants in the AIARE course who weren’t new to backcountry, and they all seemed to also get a lot of the course too. Both instructors we had were well informed, managed time well, read the group dynamic very well, and were enthusiastic instructors who clearly love the mountains and want to share that love. It was also FUN – learning is always better when there is fun involved. One thing I had heard about the AIARE course is the last day is a full day backcountry tour – due to a variety of factors, most especially a crusty snow pack and my own ability, this wasn’t the case for our class. This was a disappointment, but also a good reality check about thinking what is actually possible given the conditions and group skill level. The office in Squaw is welcoming, with some cool folks who clearly are pretty stoked about what they do. They hooked us up with some high quality rental gear too, and were patient with me when I went through about 3 different boot sizes and ski exchanges. Overhearing some of the level 2 AIARE course work only inspired me to want to sign up for that course next year too, after getting some more experience. We enthusiastically recommend Alpenglow and would definitely return for another course in the future.
Absolutely loved working with Blackbird Mountain Guides. Zeb was an awesome guide, knowledgeable and experienced, would highly recommend!
We have been extremely pleased with our Wildland trip! We chose the 3 days Zion/Bryce base camp tour. This was our first. We feel so grateful we chose to do it this way. We were able to see more and do more due to it being planned out for us. I had no worries or stress about packing food/snacks/tents. It was so nice to have all that done for us! Jennie was so knowledgeable and a great leader. She made fantastic meals and was able to help us navigate a busy holiday weekend. Would totally recommend this trip, and will book again!
Great climbing trip – really helped me succeed on a few climbs that were right at the edge of my ability. Provided lots of info and help. Some fun, easier climbs to build confidence and then some more challenging ones to make the trip a real memory-builder. Bring your mental toughness, but there’s no wrong answer when they ask if you want to try… A1 experience!
1000% recommend. Even if you can’t find exactly what you’re looking for on their website, give them a call!! They may be able to accommodate.
My girlfriend and I called Red River asking for a half-day of instruction for installing our own outdoor top-roping anchors for rock climbing. Even though that specific activity didn’t exist on the site, Carl happily agreed to teach us at a reasonable rate.
He met us in Wasatch and provided outstanding instruction. The whole experience was safe, educational, and a total delight. It was exactly what we were looking for.
Carl is a great teacher and a great guide to spend some time with. We highly recommend Red River Adventures.
Famke and her dog Olle are great companions to explore the Swiss mountains. On top of being very professional and knowledgeable, she is a very nice person! Highly recommended!
Jesse was a lot of fun to climb with. Knowledgeable and thoughtful.
Cloud 9 planned everything for our group: Food, lodging, baggage transportation and excellent hiking plans. The food and service in the hotels was great and staffs were friendly and helpful! I would highly recommend Cloud 9 for anyone planning a trip.

I’ve been on seven treks in the Alps, including Chamonix-Zermatt, the TMB, and the Bernese Oberland. I’ve also managed to climb seven of the easiest peaks. The trip that I have enjoyed the most was the 2016 Tour de Monte Rosa led by Emma Jack. The weather and varied scenery were superb (except for day two which was wet and misty). The group was eclectic but friendly and the length and difficulty of the tour just right for me. The accommodation (five nights in hotels and five in refuges) was of a very good standard and was fabulous at the Rifugio Gabiet and at the Hotel Hannigalp in Grachen.
Fantastic week walking. Amazing scenery. Very much appreciated the insights brought by Claudia, our local guide. I would highly recommend this trip. Tip – keep the contents of your backpack to the essentials only.
We had a group of 8 that did a half-day of canyoneering with Mike & Hector. They were awesome guides, taught us the knots instead of just doing it for us, provided us with insightful facts and history about the area. They let us know to get there an hour earlier than scheduled to heat the rush and that ended up being great as we didn’t have to wait for any other groups. Just super friendly going and made sure we had a great time. They also took tons of great action shots of us and shared them at the end.
Words cannot convey the experience of a winter day out with a JHMG guide taking you on a safe tour of the Tetons. Slow and steady up for a few hours rewards you with an exquisite view of the Tetons in all their majesty. Then, instead of an exhausting, bone-jarring hike back down, take the skins off your skis and ride down in powder that is almost impossible to find in a ski resort. Even a week after the last snowfall, you will still find good snow to ride down on. Even if it’s not a clear and sunny day, it’s a wonderful day out and you’ll want to keep going back until you are rewarded with those magnificent views. If the price for a ride on the Virgin Galactic rocket is $200,000, I’d say a day in the Tetons with a JHMG guide is the most undervalued ticket you can buy!
