How fit do I need to be?

While no specific hiking experience is needed, good fitness and a readiness for steep, rocky terrain are essential. Yoga experience is not necessary. Hikes and yoga sessions can be tailored to suit the preferences and energy levels of you and your group, but keep in mind that you’ll be hiking for 5 days in a row on occasionally challenging terrain. Your experienced guide will be there every step of the way, offering encouragement and ready to adjust the pace as needed to ensure a comfortable and enjoyable experience for everyone. Getting there and meeting location

To get to Molde, the base of your Norway hiking retreat, most people fly into Molde Airport (MOL) , 10 minutes from the city center. Driving from Oslo is also an option, though it takes 8 hours. Make sure you land in Molde no later than 6 pm on Day 1. Your guides will come pick you up from the airport, which is just 10 minutes away from the city. If you’re arriving a day earlier, or this timeframe doesn’t suit you, you can also take public transportation or a taxi to reach the city.

Day 1: Arrival in Molde

Day 2: Tusenårsvarden or Varden viewpoint

Have breakfast at the hotel and take a packed lunch with you. Today you’ll either hike to the Tusenårsvarden viewpoint (523 m / 1,715 ft) or Varden viewpoint (407 m / 1,335 ft), both boasting wonderful views of the sea. Continue to a mountain lake and take a refreshing swim! Return to your hotel for a good night’s rest.

Day 3: Troll Church—an underground surprise

Following a delicious breakfast, head on today’s hiking adventure. The Troll Church at 484 m (1,588 ft) consists of three exciting grottos with underground streams and a beautiful waterfall. Once you get back to the surface, there’s a lake with white marble “jetties”. Brave hikers can take a swim! If you’re feeling especially energetic, you can hike further over the mountain ridge at 832 m (2,729 ft)—as the mountains behind Troll’s Church are very distinctive with jagged points and spires—and make a loop back to the cave.

Day 4: Jendemsfjellet mountain

Beautiful views on a sunny day in Norway

Jendemsfjellet at 633 m (2,080 ft) is a mountain near Molde with a breathtaking 360-degree view over the fjords and mountains. Depending on your energy levels, you can choose between the shorter or the longer trail.

Day 5: Trollstigen road

Take the ferry and drive to Trollstigen. Trollstigen or the Troll ladder/road is a famous mountain road with narrow curves and sharp hairpin bends. The road features 11 hairpin curves and an elevation of 850 m (2,788 ft). An impressive bridge of natural stone carries the road across the Stigfossen waterfall, one of the most beautiful waterfalls in Norway. Stigfossen is a powerful waterfall with a height of 240 m (787 ft), from which 180 m (590 ft) is almost a single drop. Guests can choose if they want to drive up or hike. The Kløvstien hike is preserved as a cultural heritage, and its stone steps and chains are making challenging parts more accessible and safer.

Day 6: Atlantic Road & Sjurvarden mountain

After breakfast, take off on a road trip to the Atlantic Road. The Atlantic Road’s stretch between Bud and Kristiansund is one continuous experience packed with coastal scenery, culture, and history. The road that crosses this “infamous stretch of the ocean” was hailed as the world’s best road trip by the British newspaper The Guardian. In 2006. The 8.3 km (5 miles) road, with 8 bridges of a total length of 891 meters, was built on several small islands and skerries and is spanned by eight bridges and several landfills. You will hike to Sjurvarden at 667 m (2,188 ft), a mountain that stretches out to the sea, giving a powerful view of Hustadvika, the Atlantic Ocean, and the coastal landscape from Sunnmøre and Smøla on Nordmøre. If it happens to rain, you will take an excursion to the old fishing village of Bud and walk along the coastal hiking trail.

Day 7: Departure

All good things come to an end, but only until next time! Your guide will transfer you to the airport and say goodbye. Depending on your energy levels, choose between the shorter or longer trail, spanning 4 to 6 kilometers/2.5 to 4 miles. We’ll return for an afternoon yoga session to unwind before having dinner at our lodgings.

Day 5: Trollstigen road

Kick-start your day with invigorating morning yoga, enjoy a hearty breakfast and prepare your packed lunch. We’ll go on a ferry trip followed by a drive to Trollstigen. This famous narrow mountain road boasts 11 hairpin curves and a gradient of 9%, reaching an elevation of 850 meters/2,790 feet.

We’ll witness the awe-inspiring 240-meters/790-feet high Stigfossen waterfall under the natural stone bridge, with a 180-meter/590-feet single drop. We’ll have the option to either drive up or take the Kløvstien hike, a preserved cultural heritage path with stone steps and chains for added safety on the more challenging sections.

Scenic Thon Hotel

During your week-long women’s hiking retreat in Norway, you’ll be staying at the charming Thon Hotel Moldefjord. With its stunning waterfront location, this three-star hotel offers breathtaking views of the Moldefjord and the surrounding mountains.

Comfortable rooms include an ensuite bathroom, a smart TV, and free Wi-Fi. There’s also a restaurant and a fitness center. Price of the tour is based on a single occupancy room.

Food

Two meals per day are included in the price of the tour—hotel breakfast and picnic lunch. Make sure you land in Molde no later than 6 pm on Day 1. Your guides will come pick you up from the airport, which is just 10 minutes away from the city. If you’re arriving a day earlier, or this timeframe doesn’t suit you, you can also take public transportation or a taxi to reach the city.
Insurance is mandatory for this tour. To make your booking and traveling experience as carefree as possible, you’ll be offered to simply insure your trip with Redpoint at checkout.

Deposits

Secure your spot with a 30% deposit upon booking! The remaining 70% of the trip price must be paid 90 days prior to departure at the latest. If booking within 90 days of departure, the full amount is required at the time of booking.

Cancellations

Booking fees are non-refundable after a 48-hour grace period. During checkout, however, you can choose one of 57hours’ flexibility options—Basic, Flexible, or Super Flexible. Depending on which one you choose, a different cancellation policy will apply to your booking.

Basic
- - If cancelled within 48 hours of booking, a full refund will be issued.
  - If cancelled 60 or more days before departure, a 70% refund of the total trip price will be issued.
  - If cancelled within 59 days of departure, no refund will be issued.
Flexible
- - If cancelled within 48 hours of booking, a full refund will be issued.
  - If cancelled 60 or more days before departure, a full refund of the total trip price will be issued.
  - If cancelled 30-59 days before departure, a 50% refund of the total trip price will be issued.
  - If cancelled within 29 days of departure, no refund will be issued.
Super Flexible
- - If cancelled within 48 hours of booking, a full refund will be issued.
  - If cancelled 30 or more days before departure, a full refund of the total trip price will be issued.
  - If cancelled within 29 days of departure, a 50% refund of the total trip price will be issued.
Early Bird booking

Want to be the first one to know when we publish new dates or secure your spot well in advance? Select a future month that suits you best and lock in your Early Bird spot in time with just a 10% deposit.

As soon as our guides publish new tour dates, you’ll be the first one to know. We’ll hold your spot for 2 weeks until you choose the date that suits you best.

More about how Early Bird bookings work below:
- Only a 10% non-refundable deposit must be paid upon booking, but this deposit can be transferred to any other 57hours adventure in case the dates don’t end up working for you.
- Once our guides publish new tour dates, we’ll reach out to you so you’ll be the first one to choose from newly released dates.
- When you pick your date, you’ll confirm your booking by paying another 20% of the total trip amount (amounting to the standard 30% deposit).
- Once the trip has been confirmed, the regular cancellation policy (found above) applies.
- The remaining balance is due 90 days before the trip.
