Just returned from cycling the Portuguese Camino from Porto to Santiago del Compostelo. Wonderful experience and made easier by Follow the Camino who organised the whole thing including hotels, carriage of luggage and cycle hire. They were easy to contact and responsive to any queries both before the event and during the holiday. Would highly recommend.

We did a cycle tour with Turaventur. 5 nights at the farmhouse and guided cycles daily. The accommodation at the farmhouse is cosy with our room having a lovely balcony to relax after the daily cycle. Our guides were great and we had interesting days despite the extremely hot unseasonal weather in October. We hired electric bikes and I was very glad of this as there were lots of undulating roads. We mostly used quieter country roads. Breakfasts daily at the farmhouse were great. We also met some travellers who were on one of the companies guided tours who sounded like they had had a wonderful time . Overall I would very much recommend Turaventur if you are looking for a great cycling or other adventure.

The Douro River bike tour in Portugal by bike and boat was an unforgettable experience. We explored the countryside by bike and visited many historical places and vineyards. The overnight stays on the boat were very comfortable and the food was really delicious. The guides were also super knowledgeable and told us a lot about the region and its culture. If you want to experience Portugal from a different perspective, this trip is for you.

A memorable trip cycling the camino. Everything was perfect- hotels were great, bikes were of good standard and luggage was collected and delivered on time. We only had to focus on the cycling. I would give ten stars if this was an option.

Silvia Santos
Follow the Camino
Born and raised in Bilbao, before starting to work on the Camino as a tour guide, Silvia was a mountain guide in places like the Himalayas, Aconcagua, and many other places. It was not until she had the opportunity to walk the Camino for the first time that she understood the reason why so many people are attracted to it. Having walked the full Camino Frances, Silvia became enamored with the legends and stories of Camino. She currently lives in Galicia, working as a Camino guide and sharing her passion for it with people coming from all around the globe.

Teresa Vilas Boas
General manager and guide
Teresa has been the soul of Turaventur and Monte do Serrado de Baixo for the last 20 years. The first adventure she recalls was trekking after her father in the mountain of Gerês, when she was 5 yo. She has practiced several outdoor sports and loves to travel by bike. For two years, she traveled in Australia, New Zealand, Thailand, Laos, India, and Nepal. She finally came back to Portugal and started our Portugal Bicycle Tours. With endless energy, she will guide a cycling tour as well as a canoeing trip or set up an original outdoor event for a company meeting.
