The All-Women Annapurna Circuit Trek is an unforgettable adventure along Nepal’s Great Himalaya Trail, offering breathtaking views of the Annapurna range. Over 16 days, we’ll hike from one cozy tea house to the next, surrounded by some of the highest peaks on Earth, while visiting charming local villages and experiencing rich cultural encounters. Our days will be spent trekking through rice terraces, glacial moraines, and vibrant rhododendron and bamboo forests, wishing the adventure would never end. What makes this trek even more special? Itinerary

The All-Women Annapurna Circuit Trek along Nepal’s Great Himalaya Trail is famous for its stunning views of the Annapurna range. Over the course of 16 days, we’ll hike from one tea house to another, surrounded by some of the world's highest peaks. Along the way, we’ll explore charming local villages and engage in meaningful cultural experiences. Our trek will take us through lush rice terraces, glacial moraines, and enchanting rhododendron and bamboo forests, leaving us wishing the adventure could last forever.

  • You can arrive in Kathmandu anytime on the first day. Transport is provided to your hotel. You have a free day to explore the city. We’ll do our trek briefing and gear check in the afternoon/evening.

  • Your journey starts by taking private or public transport to Besishahar (via Mugling Bazaar and Dumre) along the Trisuli river bank and then towards north along the Marsyangdi valley.
    We will drive to Dharapani the same day by local car/jeep. We will stay overnight at the lodge.

  • Today is a great day, with plenty of opportunities to soak in hot springs and stroll through mountain villages and forests. The first spring is at Lata Manang where we can cross the Marsyangdi if the river is low enough. We then head on to Chame where there are yet more hot springs to enjoy!

  • After a pleasant walk through Bhrathang village and its apple orchards, we’ll cross the river again. A short climb to a peaceful pine forest leads into the wide Manang valley. We’ll camp or lodge at the new Pisang village (the old one is difficult to access on the far river bank beneath the Tibetan Monastery).

  • Although Chame is the district center, Manang is the trading hub. As we approach Manang, cultivation increases, and we pass through some of the oldest villages in the region. There are plenty of lodges and places to shop in Manang, which also has a Himalayan Rescue Association Clinic – an ideal spot to enquire about the rigors of living and trekking at altitude.

  • This is an important acclimatization day. Rest and feel free to explore Manang, a fabulous trans-Himalayan valley and the base for many of the climbing peaks in the area.

  • As we trek towards the pine forest, the path leads us towards Khangsar river. After crossing the river, we will pass Khangsar village and Sri Kharka. A beautiful glimpse of Tilicho peak can be seen from these two settlements. After passing Sri Kharka, we will reach Tilicho Base Camp.

  • Today we’ll head towards Tilicho lake which is located in the Manang District. On the way, we will see yak grazing and a high alpine landscape. After some hours of walking, we will reach Tilicho lake. We’ll spend some time there and thereafter walk back to Tilicho Base Camp.

  • Today, our trail passes thin vegetation before reaching Khangsar village. We will ascend to Thorong Khola valley and cross an old bridge. After that, we will witness the pasture for yak grazing called Yak Kharka.

  • We will ascend slowly and follow the trail carefully as we cross the river over a bridge, reaching Ledar village. After that, we will ascend further to a narrow trail to reach Thorong Phedi. The trail gives us a mesmerizing view of Mt. Gundang, Mt. Syagang, Thorong Peak, and Mt. Khatungkan. We will continue on to Thorong High Camp from Thorong Phedi.

  • Today is the hardest day on the trek, but worth the effort. First we’ll ascend steeply to 4,590 m (15,060 ft) and then trek along an undulating trail to the flat top of Thorung La Pass (5,416 m / 17,770 ft). Enjoy stunning views of the Annapurna range to the south and Mukut Himal bordering Dolpo to the west. The trail descends steeply over glacial moraine, which gives way to grassy meadows before we reach Muktinath. This is one of the most important pilgrimage sites for Hindus and is home to many ethnic Tibetans and Buddhist monks who live in monasteries scattered around the valley. The nearby temple with 108 carved spouts from which holy water flows is famous for a fire that miraculously burns in a stream of water.

  • Today is a short day of walking, at the end of our trek. But before leaving, we will visit the Hindu & Buddhist pilgrims in Muktinath. We will drive to Jomsom by car/jeep.

  • We will take a 30-minute flight from Jomsom airport to Pokhara. After reaching Pokhara, we’ll freshen up to enjoy a leisurely walk in the streets of Pokhara. We’ll stay overnight at a hotel in Pokhara.

  • The All-Women Annapurna Circuit trek is strenuous and challenging. Recent hiking and/or backpacking experience is highly recommended, as is excellent physical condition—you’ll be hiking for 2 weeks, 3-9 hours per day. During your trekking days, there will be some steeper and more challenging ascents along the way. There will be less arduous days reserved for acclimatization and rest. (Please note: hiking times in the itinerary are estimations; the actual hiking can take more or less time than noted.)

    You will need to prepare for a cardio workout and consult with your doctor before joining the trip given the high altitude reaching up to almost 6,000 m / 20,000 ft. You will be required to familiarize yourself with the hazards and risks of high-altitude trekking, and sign a liability waiver and terms & conditions forms. However, this is a supported trek; hence, you only carry a daypack with your essentials (porters are hired to carry your belongings). You will be staying in tea houses each night.

  • Group sizes and pricing

      • For this Annapurna Circuit Trek for women, the usual client-to-guide ratio is 12:1.
      • It takes a minimum of 2 people for this group tour to operate.
      • The maximum group size is set at 12 participants.
      • You can sign up solo, but bear in mind that if no one else signs up for the date you picked, there will be an additional cost.

    Annapurna Circuit Trek for women can be arranged for larger groups and private tours with your date of choice. Contact us to make the arrangements.

    Min. age requirements

      • If you are older than 18, you’re good to go.
      • Minors younger than 18 may be permitted to join the Annapurna Circuit Trek for women on a case-by-case basis, but must be in the presence of a parent or legal guardian.

    If your group has hikers under the age of 18, contact us prior to booking to make arrangements.

  • To get to the starting point of the All-Women Annapurna Circuit Trek in Nepal, most people fly into Tribhuvan International Airport (KTM) in Kathmandu.

    Once you and your guide agree on the details of your itinerary, they will arrange for your pickup at the airport and transfer you to your accommodation in Kathmandu. After that, all you have to do is stay safe and have fun on this Nepal trekking tour!

    To visit Nepal, you must have a Nepalese visa. For this all-women Annapurna Circuit Trek in Nepal, you will need a 30-day multiple-entry visa, which is valid for 6 months and costs $50. You can easily obtain it as soon as you arrive in the country, which is usually at the Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu.

  • Deposits

    You can secure one of the set dates with a 30% deposit upon booking. The remaining 70% of the trip price is to be paid 90 days prior to departure, at the latest.

    Cancellations

    Booking fees are non-refundable in all cases. During checkout, however, you can choose one of 57hours’ flexibility options:

    Basic

      • In case of cancellation within 48 hours after booking, the amount paid is fully refundable.
      • For cancellations 90 or more days before the trip, you are eligible for a 70% refund of the trip price.
      • For cancellations 0-89 days before the trip, there is no refund.

    Flexible

      • In case of cancellation within 48 hours after booking, the amount paid is fully refundable.
      • For cancellations 90 or more days before the trip, you are eligible for a full refund of the trip price.
