All-Women Rock Climbing Camp in the Catalan Pyrenees

The granite in the Catalan Pyrenees demands everything we’ve got—and then gives back twice as much. On this 7-day rock climbing camp, we’ll work our way up increasingly spicy routes and build confidence on raw technical routes. From our base in Erill la Vall, a quiet village at the gateway of Aigüestortes National Park, we’ll experience what pure granite climbing feels like in a crew of women who don’t mind a little tryhard. Each day will push us further—on the rock and as climbers. Time to see what we’re made of.

Itinerary

Ready to crush some prime Pyrenean granite? Join this 7-day women-only climbing camp in the Catalan Pyrenees for four full days of sending on pristine rock. We'll kick off with evening bouldering after arriving in Erill la Vall, then hit different sectors each day to work everything from techy faces to longer pitches. Between climbing days, we'll hike to one of the area's classic mountain refuges—a perfect active rest day in the heart of climbing country. An experienced local guide brings deep knowledge of the area and handles the technical setups. All technical climbing gear is provided, so you can focus on what matters: crushing some epic lines!

  • The camp begins with a scenic 3.5-hour taxi ride (not included) from Barcelona to the charming village of Erill la Vall. Upon arrival, we’ll check into our accommodations and have some time to settle in and get organized. In the evening, there’s a camp briefing to outline the week ahead and ensure everything is in place. Afterward, we’ll enjoy a picnic in the area (at our own expense) and explore a nearby bouldering spot for a relaxed introduction to the local climbing environment.

Erill la Vall, a small Pyrenean village
  • The first day of climbing sets the tone for the week! We’ll experience climbing on real rock, focusing on getting comfortable with the terrain and understanding everyone’s individual abilities and goals. This is our chance to discuss our climbing experience, comfort levels, and goals—not just for this camp, but for our climbing journeys overall!

Climbing gear and people in the background
  • Today, we’ll head to a new climbing area to explore different styles of rock climbing and diverse terrain. The goal is to expand your climbing skills while enjoying the variety this stunning area has to offer.

  • Our third climbing day takes us to yet another unique spot. We’ll keep the focus on improving our techniques and building confidence, all at our own pace.

  • After three days of climbing, we’ll take a well-deserved rest. Instead of climbing, we’ll set out on a beautiful hike through the Aigüestortes i Estany de Sant Maurici National Park. Our hike will lead us to a picturesque mountain hut, offering a perfect chance to recharge while soaking in the stunning landscapes. It’s a great opportunity to connect with the area beyond the rock faces.

Aiguestortes National Park in the Pyrenees of Catalonia
  • On our last climbing day, we’ll practice everything we’ve learned! Our main focus will be refining our maneuvers and getting more autonomous in our climbing. If the group is more advanced, we’ll make our goals more ambitious! We’ll celebrate the end of the camp with dinner (at your own expense) and some more surprises.
