Sailing and Rock Climbing on Amalfi Coast
Discover the stunning rock climbing sites available along the Amalfi Coast in the South of Italy and sail the turquoise seas with a professional skipper and guide! This 8-day adventure takes you to the best locations along the coast and lets you explore the most charming towns, local cuisine, and single and multi-pitch routes varying from 5.6 to 5.13. A week of sport and nature along the renowned Costiera Amalfitana will leave you wanting for more. Explore cities along the stunning coastline and visit small islands on a sailing boat and have the time of your life!
Day 1: Arrival in Salerno
Meet your guides in Salerno marina sometime after 18:00 and head to your accommodation. Go over equipment and organization of the boat for the week with your group and settle into your cabins. Spend the evening getting to know each other and relaxing!
Day 2: Departure from Salerno
After an early breakfast, you’ll head north. After a few miles of sailing, your first stop will be Praiano’s beach. There is a nice equipped cliff rising right of the beach, ideal for warming up for the coming week. After climbing, continue your adventure in search of a quiet bay where you’ll drop the anchor and spend the night.
Day 3: Deep Water Solo
Keep sailing north passing the most vertical and even overhanging cliffs on the whole Amalfi Coast. The spot is ideal for practicing deep-water solo! No harness, no rope, no bolts — just the water as a crash pad in case of a fall. Spend the night in Amalfi’s harbor and visit the old town. Amalfi is a town included in the UNESCO World Heritage Sites set below steep cliffs on Italy’s southwest coast.
Day 4: "Pansa" patisserie and Nocelle
Enjoy breakfast at “Pansa” patisserie, one of the best and oldest bakeries in Italy since 1830! After a good morning start, make your way to Nocelle where you will be able to do the famous trek along Sentiero Degli Dei (the God’s trail). This panoramic path 7km long connects Nocelle to Agerola, where you’ll find the boat waiting for you.
Day 5: Punta Campanella
After some sailing, reach Punta Campanella, the northeast cape of the Amalfi’s seashore and the spot with the best rock in Italy. Many single and multi-pitch climbing routes start right at sea level! Climb until dusk admiring the spectacular sunset behind Capri and relax on the boat with your group.
Day 6: Capri
Explore the coast of Capri with a possibility for multi-pitch climbing. Attempt to climb the famous island’s sea stacks and spend the night in Capri’s bay.
Day 7: Sailing Day
Sail down south and stop here and there for some swimming in the wonderful turquoise sea before arriving at Salerno by 18:00.
Day 8: Disembark
Pack up, exchange contacts with your new friends, and say farewell to Amalfi! Disembark in the morning before 9.00 a.m.

How fit do I need to be?
Good physical shape is important but don’t worry — it doesn’t matter the grade you can climb on, you’ll always find a partner matching your level, and if that’s not the case, your guide will be there for you. Rock climbing is more about using good movement technique rather than muscling up a cliff using brute strength. To ensure you have a fun retreat, your guide will be there to supervise the climbing and to help all the climbers to improve their skills, and to choose routes that best suit your skill and fitness level. You don’t need any knowledge of sailing — the skipper will take care of everything!
What if I’ve never climbed or sailed before?
Amalfi Coast has plenty of options for beginner climbers. Let your guide plan the day so you can focus on developing your skills while climbing the classic routes or best hidden gems the area has to offer.

- Don’t worry about any sailing knowledge. The skipper will be there to ensure your safety and will give you precious tips on how to live on board.
