Marco is a certified and an experienced guide for ski touring, snowshoeing, ice climbing, trekking, rock and alpine climbing.

  • To participate in this Dolomites guided rock climbing tour, you need to be in very good physical shape. Rock climbing is all about using good movement technique rather than muscling up a cliff using brute strength, but you do need to be into outdoor adventures and sports in general. To ensure you have a fun day, your guide will choose routes that best suit your skill and fitness level. The tour is not recommended for people with a fear of heights. 

  • For this Dolomites guided climbing adventure, you should at least have solid indoor climbing experience. You must be independent on top-rope belay and climbing on easy ground. Your guide will help you meet your individual objectives. Above all, your instructor’s number one priority is your safety. As long as you listen to the given instructions, you’ll succeed in completing your climb, whether the route is more suitable for beginners or more experienced climbers. 

  • All technical climbing equipment will be provided by your guiding service. However, if you have your own gear, feel free to bring it. You’ll need:

      • Helmet
      • Harness with a locking carabiner, belay device, and chalk bag
      • Ropes
      • Rock shoes (included in the price, but we recommend bringing your own if you have them)
      • Climbing hardware (quickdraws, cam devices, stoppers, etc.)

    Here’s a list of the equipment we suggest you bring:

      • Day pack large enough to carry all the items listed (around a 40L bag)
      • Trekking/approach shoes (with a solid profile and good grip)
      • Wind jacket and warm clothes
      • Sunglasses
      • Water (or other beverages) — minimum 1 L
      • Food you can eat on the go

    Dress comfortably and for the weather in clothes you can move in. We suggest bringing clothing appropriate for the season. Layers are best and don’t wear jeans.

  • Group sizes and prices:

      • For this private Dolomites climbing adventure, the ratio is between 1 and 4 guests per one guide.
      • The cost per person decreases as the group grows, so it’s the perfect opportunity to climb with friends and family! 

    Guided rock climbing tour in the Dolomites near Cortina d’Ampezzo can be arranged for larger groups. Contact us to make arrangements.

    Min. age requirements:

      • If you are older than 16, you’re good to go.
      • Minors younger than 18 may be permitted to join the hike on a case-by-case basis, but must be in the presence of a parent or legal guardian.

    If your group has climbers under the age of 18, contact us prior to booking to make arrangements.

  • To get to Cortina d’Ampezzo, most people fly into Venice Marco Polo Airport , which is 2 hours away. From there, you can rent a car or take a shuttle service.

    Your Dolomites rock climbing guide will suggest the best time and place to meet, usually at the Baita Bai de Dones restaurant in the morning. The guide will choose the appropriate terrain dependent on your or your group’s condition and ability level.
