Hiking the Mont Blanc

My wife and I recently completed the TMB Highlights Tour with Cloud 9 and Tom as our guide. It was the best trip of our lives. Challenging, beautiful, rewarding. We are still thinking about it daily and I’m actually emotional thinking that’s it’s over. Cloud 9 took care of everything and made it all very easy to plan. Tom did a great job making sure everyone was doing well and guiding us to the best spots in the trails. I couldn’t recommend them more!

A super mountain guide who can guide you around the mountains safely. Olle, her dog was very welcoming to my dog too when we both joined for a Thursday morning hike. I highly recommend to anyone who is looking for a nice way to spend time in nature

This trip has been in the works for almost 3 years and through the Covid epidemic you somehow managed to pull it off. The additions and changes you had to make were remarkable in fitting our needs. How can an 11 day trip go off without 1 hiccup? It did because of your knowledge, professionalism and extreme dedication to your clients. As one of your guides(Suze) said: Emma never sleeps! Every single detail from luggage delivery, hotel accommodations, trip notes, maps, food requests(we had 2 vegetarians) was spot on. From the bottom of my heart, you made a 25 year dream to hike the Haute come true. It was way beyond my expectations. To do it with friends was even more special. On any future expeditions, I would never consider another person(or company) to arrange my trip. No wonder Richard Branson so highly recommends you. To all who read this review, I personally have arranged dozens of trips over the years, but I knew from the start that Emma was the one to arrange this one.

We just finished a 12 day Mont Blanc tour and with the help of Cloud 9 it was an incredible experience. Our original trip was booked in 2019 and postponed due to Covid. Cloud 9 offered a full refund or the opportunity to continue with no additional cost both years we postponed. Once we finally hit the trail, the accommodations, trip notes and attention to the smallest of details made the tour an outstanding experience for us. I will certainly consider using Cloud 9 again and highly recommend it to anyone wishing to tour Mont Blanc.

I’ve been on seven treks in the Alps, including Chamonix-Zermatt, the TMB, and the Bernese Oberland. I’ve also managed to climb seven of the easiest peaks. The trip that I have enjoyed the most was the 2016 Tour de Monte Rosa led by Emma Jack. The weather and varied scenery were superb (except for day two which was wet and misty). The group was eclectic but friendly and the length and difficulty of the tour just right for me. The accommodation (five nights in hotels and five in refuges) was of a very good standard and was fabulous at the Rifugio Gabiet and at the Hotel Hannigalp in Grachen.

Fantastic week walking. Amazing scenery. Very much appreciated the insights brought by Claudia, our local guide. I would highly recommend this trip. Tip – keep the contents of your backpack to the essentials only.

My husband and I did the 7-day self guided tour through Nuyama. We had a great time and we really appreciated all the care Nuyama put into getting us prepared for our adventure! The guidebook and itinerary were perfect! The places they chose for us to stay were all great, and the food was delicious. It was just what we hoped it would be. As we prepared to leave we contemplated our amazing adventure and sense of accomplishment. I recently finished a self-guided Haute Route trip that Emma Jack planned from start to finish. The trip couldn’t have gone any smoother. The trip was originally scheduled for the summer of 2020. Emma and the other group members exchanged over 300 emails over three years. Emma is detailed, responsive, and her experience outdoors and her logistical abilities are without parallel. Emma’s detailed trip notes gave us the most up-to-date trail information and made navigation a breeze. She customized the trip based on our interests. She arranged all lodging, taxi services for luggage, and was in regular contact with us on the trail. I definitely couldn’t see myself doing a trip like this without expert guidance and I can’t recommend Emma Jack highly enough for this task. She went above and beyond in all aspects.

Absolutely, without a doubt, the best company you could choose to plan your Tour du Mont Blanc experience! GPS coordinates, updated trip notes through the trek (including snow conditions, lunch options, etc.), and consistent communication were beyond helpful with our self-guided journey! The communication was unreal as we ran into numerous folks on the hike that did not receive this kind of of information from their booking company. This gave my wife and I peace of mind as we knew we were in great hands! This trek is no joke and Cloud 9 Adventure treated the journey with the respect it deserves. Safety is absolutely a priority for their clients!
