We’ll start the day by taking a local bus to the small town of Nesso, just fifteen minutes away from Lezzeno. This is where our walk starts. We will walk a part of Strada Regia, the old pathway that used to connect the towns between Como and Bellagio. We’ll take some cobbled pathways through town, admiring the authentic side of these little villages. A stone bridge and a waterfall are just some of the photo opportunities of the day.
Leaving the lakeside, we’ll take a path uphill through the forest, partially paved, with some beautiful views of the lake and villages on the other shore. Once out of the forest path, we’ll find ourselves in small villages again and we’ll walk along little roads, until we reach our Hotel Villa Aurora at lunch time. You can enjoy the hotel’s private beach in the afternoon.

We’ll take a bus to Bellagio, one of the most famous villages on Lake Como. Our walk will take us away from the crowds, and we’ll get to explore less known parts of the area. We’ll first walk along the lake, then go up and take a path that will lead us through a forest and along old terraces. Although the ascent is steep, it is mostly in the shade. We’ll reach some small towns on the hills above Bellagio. We can stop for a drink on a Baita Belvedere trattoria terrace, with stunning views of the lake. After that, we’ll take a break and have our packed lunch. A forest path will take us back to Bellagio, where we’ll take some time to explore the village. I have been on a few adventures with WW and highly recommend them. I’ve had brilliant experiences. There is something very special about a group of random women meeting up to walk and discover new things together. Each time the groups have been mixed, warm and inviting. The guides have always been excellent. I’ve been cross country skiing, hill climbing and rambling. Each time I have come back highly inspired. A brilliant company and a wonderful way to ‘build memories’ and enjoy life.
A wonderful holiday with walking women, I wouldn’t hesitate to go again. Extremely well organised from start to finish.
This group is wonderful. I’ve gone on two of their tours and enjoyed both of them because of the groups on the tours and the care and support that the tour company takes for each of its tours.
