To participate in these hikes, you need to have some prior hiking experience and decent fitness levels. You will be hiking for 5 hours, covering around 12 km (7,5 miles) per tour with 375-500 m (1,230 – 1,650 ft) of altitude change. The Caldera Rim hike is especially challenging, as you’ll be hiking variable terrain mostly above 2,000 m (6,500 ft). Keep in mind that the summer can get very hot, and you’ll be carrying a pack loaded with the thing you’ll need throughout the day.
Myself and my husband did a wonderful hike with Andy in the most beautiful Tenerife mountains and forests. Andy is very knowledgeable about the terrain, plants, and flowers, you can pretty much ask him anything and he will know! Fabulous day…. thank you, Andy!
