The Canary Islands host some of the best hikes in Europe—and the trails in Tenerife are living proof. The Teno Mountains feel as dramatic as the Swiss Alps, with trails winding along steep barrancos, vertical cliffs, and vibrant evergreen forests. The hikes at La Caldera elegantly transition from cloud forests to Mars-esque volcanic landscapes, complete with unique rock formations and the feeling of soothing solitude. Anaga is another place to get far from the tourists, with misty forest walks, thrilling coastal trails, and a wild array of micro-climates. Head to Tenerife, and find a different hike—and a different biosphere—every day of the year.
Enjoy the complete Canary hiking experience—but crowd-free
Traverse several different biospheres in a matter of hours
High-altitude hikes provide fantastic views of the entire archipelago
Embark on a 5-hour journey through many different biospheres! Follow a rocky ridge deep into a sub-tropical rainforest, and ascend back up a mountain mirroring the Swiss Alps. Take in the panoramic views of the Masca hamlet, lava fields, and the looming Mount Teide before descending into an aromatic pine forest. A seasoned guide will stay with you all the way, making sure you’re safe and satisfied.
Enjoy a challenging, but infinitely rewarding half-day hike at 2,000 m (6,500 ft) above sea level! Ascend up the Caldera Rim, where you’ll be greeted by dramatic volcanic landscapes. Marvel at the panoramas and unique rock formations before descending down a sparse pine forest full of scenic overlooks. A knowledgeable guide will accompany you, keeping you safe and teaching you about the long-reaching history of the area.

Traverse a protected natural landscape on one of many different routes, winding through a plethora of varied landscapes. Your expert guide knows the twists and turns in the area, and he’ll take you to all the bucket-list landmarks.
Myself and my husband did a wonderful hike with Andy in the most beautiful Tenerife mountains and forests. Andy is very knowledgeable about the terrain, plants, and flowers, you can pretty much ask him anything and he will know! Fabulous day…. thank you, Andy!
The start of the walk was quite tough but well worth the effort-what goes up must come down. Superb views of different settings together with Andy’s knowledge of the surroundings made it a superb day. Thanks, Andy.
I booked two hikes during my stay in Tenerife and I wish I had booked more. My first was Guimar Valley and the second was Teno Massif and the enchanted forest, both did not disappoint. Such beautiful scenery on both walks and panoramic views with lots of opportunity for some great photos. Truly appreciate the quietness and what nature has to offer. It was lovely to eat my lunch in these surroundings. Andy is very knowledgeable so you’ll also learn a lot. I would highly recommend booking some hikes when visiting Tenerife. Even if it’s just you on your own as I went solo but I met up with others. Thanks, Andy! I will be booking more on my next visit.
Andy is an excellent guide & good fun to spend time with. We did two 5 hr day walks in different areas & thoroughly enjoyed both. I would never have persuaded my family to do these walks without someone to guide & entertain us!
