Pallars Jussà doesn’t make the usual highlight reels, which is exactly why we ride here. Tucked into the Catalan Pre-Pyrenees, this region packs sandstone slab descents, Wild West ridgelines, and flowy forest serpentines into a 30 km (19 mi) radius of our base. We’ll spend 5 days riding shuttle-assisted enduro from Tremp and La Pobla de Segur, dropping around 3,000 m (9,842 ft) per day on blue, red, and black trails. Casa Guilla handles the rest: premium rooms, local food, and local wine. Let’s ride together!

Adventure Highlights

  • Skip the climb: Ride 5 days of pure enduro with the support van handling every climb
  • From Roques to Rocalta: Link Tremp’s sandstone slab paradise with the Rocalta ridge’s 889 m (2,917 ft) Wild West descent
  • 9 suites, 0 regrets: Recover at Casa Guilla, with 9 styled suites and a table built around local food and wine

The adventure, day by day

Join this shuttle-assisted enduro riding adventure through some of the finest singletrack in the Catalan Pre-Pyrenees, based entirely at Casa Guilla in Tremp. We cover two main riding zones, Tremp and La Pobla de Segur, ranging from flowy forest serpentines and sandstone slab descents to the technical conglomerate rock lines of the Rocalta ridge and the Montsor area. The shuttle van handles the climbing, leaving us to focus on around 3,000 m (9,842 ft) of descent per day on blue, red, and black trails. Airport transfers, all meals, and certified guiding are included. The only thing left to figure out is which line to hit first.

Day 1: Arrival and welcome
Welcoem Tremp

The guides will pick you up from Barcelona Airport and drive 2 hours 40 minutes into the heart of the Catalan Pre-Pyrenees, arriving at the base in Tremp. After check-in, bikes are assembled and rental setups sorted, then we gather for a welcome briefing covering the team, the trails, and the plan for the week ahead. Dinner follows at base.

Meals: Dinner
Accommodation: Casa Guilla, Tremp

Day 2: Warm-up ride and terrain introduction
MTB in Spain

The first day on the bike is about finding the rhythm. We head out to the Nerets area, just 3 km (1.9 mi) from base, working through forest singletracks before descending into the village of Salàs de Pallars. After a packed lunch, a steady 250 m (820 ft) climb opens up the upper Nerets trails and wide views across the Sant Antoni reservoir. Slick Rock and Arizona Cactus follow, with a few flowy shuttle runs to close out the afternoon.

Meals: Breakfast, packed lunch, dinner
Accommodation: Casa Guilla, Tremp
Cycling: 35-40 km (22-25 mi)
Elevation: +250 m (+820 ft)

Day 3: Top trails from base's doorstep
MTB biker in Tremp

We roll directly out from Casa Guilla, climbing a steady 250 m (820 ft) before dropping into the first big descent of the trip: a long, natural trail losing around 650 m (2,133 ft) across a great mix of terrain. The shuttle van meets us at the bottom. The rest of the day is spent exploring Roques Pelades (“Naked Rocks”), Tremp’s most iconic enduro zone, with grey sandstone slabs, flowy forest sections, and sweeping views. Afternoon shuttle runs on Roques Pelades, Valkyries, and Escorpins close out a big day.

Meals: Breakfast, packed lunch, dinner
Accommodation: Casa Guilla, Tremp
Cycling: 35-40 km (22-25 mi)
Elevation: +250 m (+820 ft) / -650 m (-2,133 ft)

Day 4: La Pobla de Segur: the ridge
MTB cloudy day in Spain

The shuttle drops us at 1,000 m (3,281 ft) in the Claverol-Ortoneda area, and we climb by bike to 1,489 m (4,885 ft) for the longest ascent of the week. The payoff is the Rocalta ridge: 889 m (2,917 ft) of continuous elevation loss linking four singletracks, from rocky and loose freeride sections to chunky conglomerate rock lines with a real Wild West character. We regroup in the village of Sossís before continuing with afternoon shuttle runs on the La Pobla de Segur trails near Toralla: flowy and fast, but always with a spicy edge.

Meals: Breakfast, packed lunch, dinner
Accommodation: Casa Guilla, Tremp
Cycling: 35-40 km (22-25 mi)
Elevation: +489 m (+1,604 ft) / -889 m (-2,917 ft)

Day 5: La Pobla de Segur, Montsor area
Bikers downhill in Spain

We shuttle up to Montsor, a unique abandoned hamlet at 1,200 m (3,937 ft), and spend the full day riding one of the most distinctive zones of the trip. Massive rock formations, open views, and technical conglomerate trails set this area apart from anything we’ve ridden so far. Shuttle-assisted descents keep the variety coming, with trails including Arreposador, Apolo Trail, Pastis, Gerrys, No Dig No Ride, and L’Ameriquén Line.

Meals: Breakfast, packed lunch, dinner
Accommodation: Casa Guilla, Tremp
Cycling: 35-40 km (22-25 mi)

Day 6: Epic ride and flowy serpentines in Tremp
Sandy MTB in Spain

We start at 1,350 m (4,429 ft) on ridge singletracks before dropping into flowy forest trails below, a first run delivering around 850 m (2,789 ft) of elevation loss that sets the tone for the day. The rest is pure flow: Tremp’s most iconic serpentines, including Serengueti, Afganistrail, Escolopendra, Tapó, Belep, and the landmark Dragon Khan. It’s the biggest day on the bike and a fitting send-off. Bikes are packed and rental returns sorted before a final dinner together.

Meals: Breakfast, packed lunch, dinner
Accommodation: Casa Guilla, Tremp
Cycling: 35-40 km (22-25 mi)
Elevation: -850 m (-2,789 ft)
