Pyrenees MTB Adventure: Enduro Through Val d’Aran & Tremp, Spain

7 days | Moderate to Challenging

Some places make you climb for every good descent. The Pyrenees just keep handing them over. This 7-day trip strings together three valleys, Val d’Aran, Tremp, and Pallars Sobirà, using shuttle support to stack up trail time instead of saddle time. Expect flowing singletrack through forest, open alpine lines, and the kind of natural terrain that feels genuinely earned without needing a punishing climb to get there. Local hotels and mountain lodges round out the days, along with Pyrenean cooking that hits the spot after hours on the bike.

The adventure, day by day

This 7-day Enduro trip covers three of the best-kept riding secrets in the Spanish Pyrenees, without a single repeated trail. We start in Val d'Aran, where uplift-assisted days unlock long, technical descents through Pruedo, Entacada, and Sanaviera. From there, the route drops south into Tremp, known for some of the region's best natural Enduro terrain, before finishing around Sort and Llavorsí with alpine singletrack that eases us back toward the valley. Riding is shuttle-supported throughout, so the focus stays on descending rather than grinding out climbs. Between rides, evenings settle into comfortable mountain hotels and hearty Pyrenean dinners.

Day 1: Arrival
Pyrenees landscape

Upon arrival at Toulouse-Blagnac Airport, you’ll be transferred roughly 2.5 hours into Val d’Aran, a valley where nearly a third of the land sits above 2,000 m (6,562 ft) in the heart of the Pyrenees. After settling in, bikes get assembled and checked over before a short warm-up loop around the valley to shake off travel legs and dial in the setup.

Meals: Dinner
Riding: 10–15 km (6–9 mi), 1–2 hours
Elevation: +0–600 m (+0–1,969 ft)
Accommodation: Hotel or mountain lodge, Val d’Aran

Day 2: Pruedo and Enduromies
Bikers with helmets in Spain

A full shuttle-assisted day on some of Val d’Aran’s best-known trails. Pruedo and Enduromies mix technical rock gardens with long, flowing sections through forest, and the vans handle the climbing so the day stays focused on descending.

Meals: Breakfast, dinner
Riding: 30–40 km (19–25 mi), 6–7 hours
Elevation: +250–400 m (+820–1,312 ft) / -3,000–4,000 m (-9,843–13,123 ft)
Accommodation: Hotel or mountain lodge, Val d’Aran

Day 3: Entacada and Sanaviera
Road MTB in Spain

A second day deep in Val d’Aran’s trail network, combining technical singletrack with faster, flowing descents. Entacada connects toward the French border and is known among regional riders as one of the valley’s longest, most rewarding lines. Expect a similar shuttle-supported rhythm to the day before, with more time in the saddle and a bit more climbing mixed in.

Meals: Breakfast, dinner
Riding: 30–45 km (19–28 mi), 6–8 hours
Elevation: +500–800 m (+1,640–2,625 ft) / -2,000–3,000 m (-6,562–9,843 ft)
Accommodation: Hotel or mountain lodge, Val d’Aran

Day 4: Transfer to Tremp
Van and bikes in Spain Pyrenees

A scenic drive south toward Tremp, with stops along the way to break up the transfer. In the afternoon, we get back on the bikes for a ride around La Pobla de Segur, easing into the new terrain before a full day here tomorrow.

Meals: Breakfast, dinner
Riding: 20–30 km (12–19 mi), 4–6 hours
Elevation: +600–1,000 m (+1,969–3,281 ft) / -1,500–2,000 m (-4,921–6,562 ft)
Accommodation: Hotel or mountain lodge, Tremp

Day 5: Tremp enduro experience
Mountain bikers in Pyrenees

A full day riding some of the best natural enduro trails around Tremp. Unlike Val d’Aran’s shuttle-heavy days, this region relies more on raw, natural terrain, rewarding riders who like their descents technical and unpolished.

Meals: Breakfast, dinner
Riding: 30–45 km (19–28 mi), 6–8 hours
Elevation: +800–1,500 m (+2,625–4,921 ft) / -1,500–2,500 m (-4,921–8,202 ft)
Accommodation: Hotel or mountain lodge, Tremp

Day 6: Sort and Llavorsi
MTB Spain lake

We ride alpine singletrack around Sort and Llavorsi, two riverside towns at the gateway to Pallars Sobira and its national park, before heading back toward Val d’Aran. It’s a strong closing ride, mixing high-alpine trail with the technical, natural character that’s defined the week.

Meals: Breakfast, dinner
Riding: 25–40 km (16–25 mi), 6–8 hours
Elevation: +800–1,200 m (+2,625–3,937 ft) / -2,500–3,500 m (-8,202–11,483 ft)
Accommodation: Hotel or mountain lodge, Val d’Aran

Day 7: Departure
Amazing view in the Pyrenees

After breakfast, we transfer back to Toulouse-Blagnac Airport, marking the end of the trip.
