Breakfast is included in the price of this e-bike tour. A traditional Portuguese breakfast is simple yet flavorful, often centered around fresh bread served with butter, cheese, or jam. For a heartier start, locals enjoy tosta mista, a toasted ham and cheese sandwich. Fresh pastries, such as the iconic pastéis de nata (custard tarts), add a sweet touch. Breakfast is typically paired with a strong cup of coffee, often an espresso or galão (similar to a latte). Some may enjoy a glass of freshly squeezed orange juice or a bowl of hot milk with coffee.
On Day 1, we’ll explore the city of Coimbra. Situated on the banks of the river Mondego, Coimbra is known for its University, the oldest in Portugal, and one of the oldest in Europe, which has molded its image as ‘the city of students’ over time.
