• How fit do I need to be?

  These Zermatt hiking holidays are suitable for hikers with good fitness and basic hiking experience. You’ll hike for 4.2 to 10.5 km (2.6 to 6.5 miles) daily, with up to 674 m (2, 221 ft) elevation gain.

  To enjoy this adventure, you should be comfortable walking 4-6 hours on mountain trails, handling some steep sections, and hiking at high altitudes. Prior hiking experience is beneficial, but if you exercise regularly and can walk for several hours on varied terrain, you’ll be well-prepared for this trip.

• What do I need to bring?

    • It takes a minimum of 4 people for this tour to operate. The maximum group size is set at 8 participants.

  Min. age requirements

  • • If you are older than 18, you’re good to go.
    • Minors younger than 18 may be permitted to join the Zermatt hiking holidays on a case-by-case basis, but must be in the presence of a parent or legal guardian.

  If your group has hikers under the age of 18, contact us prior to booking to make arrangements.

• is a single occupancy room available?

  The price for this tour is based on twin-share rooms, but a single occupancy room can be arranged at an additional fee. You can add it to your booking at checkout.

  Solo travelers are welcome—they can either share a room with another same-gender solo traveler at no extra cost*, or guarantee a private room by paying a single occupancy fee.

  *In case you’re coming solo and your guides aren’t able to match you to another participant, paying the single occupancy room will later on be mandatory.

• Getting there and meeting location

  The starting point of your Zermatt hiking holidays is Zermatt. To get there, most people fly into Geneva Airport (GVA). From there, an arranged private transfer will take you to Täsch, where you will board a train for a short 12-minute ride to Zermatt.

  Once you’re there, you will meet your guide at dinner time on Day 1 at your hotel in Zermatt.

• Safety measures and insurance

• Deposits and cancellation policy

  A 35% deposit to secure your place is due upon booking. The remaining amount is paid 90 days prior to departure. Once the trip is confirmed by the guide, the cancellation policy stated below applies. . If you cancel the booking…

  • • More than 60 days prior to departure, a cancellation fee of 5% of the total trip price will apply.
    • 60-45 days prior to departure, a cancellation fee of 15% of the total trip price will apply.
    • 44-30 days prior to departure, a cancellation fee of 30% of the total trip price will apply.
    • 29-15 days prior to departure, a cancellation fee of 75% of the total trip price will apply.
    • Within 14 days of the departure date, no refund will be issued.
