This 6-day Iceland trail running tour blends genuine competition trail routes with rest days built around Iceland's iconic sights. Based in Reykjavík for the full week, we run Hengill's steam valleys and volcanic ridges, tackle a highland route through Kerlingarfjöll or the Mýrdal area, and finish with a scenic run through Heiðmörk Nature Reserve. Distances flex each day, with shorter and longer options so runners of different levels can choose their challenge. Golden Circle and South Coast sightseeing fill the recovery days in between, and the week wraps up with a soak in the Sky Lagoon before departure.

This Iceland trail running tour is designed for active people who enjoy outdoor adventures rather than seasoned ultra runners.
A basic level of fitness is required, with routes up to 25 km (15.5 mi) per day and a shorter option available on the two longest days.
Trails cross gravel, lava fields, and mountain paths, so some running or hiking experience helps, though nothing beyond that is necessary.

The price for this Iceland trail running tour is based on twin-share rooms, but a single occupancy room can be arranged at an additional fee. You can leave a note at checkout if interested.
The starting point of your Iceland trail running tour is Reykjavik. To get there, most people fly into Keflavik International Airport (KEF). Your guide will pick you up at the airport on Day 1 and drive you to Reykjavík, and the transfer back to the airport on Day 6 is included too.
Please book your flight home for 5 pm or later on Day 6.
