What if your bike ride started in the Dolomites and ended in Venice? This 8-day self-guided journey takes you from crisp alpine air and pine-scented valleys all the way to the warm breeze of the Venetian lagoon. You’ll pedal past the Three Peaks, glide along old railway lines, and roll through quiet villages where church bells echo and cafés spill onto sunlit squares. Vineyards, rivers, and cypress-lined roads lead you south, with the landscape softening with every day. Everything is taken care of, so you can simply ride, pause for an espresso or gelato, and soak it all in, before rolling into Venice on two wheels, trading mountain silence for the buzz of canals and piazzas, and finishing your ride somewhere most journeys only begin.

With accommodation, luggage transfers, and navigation all arranged, you’re free to ride at your own pace and fully enjoy the journey.

Day 1: Arrival
Toblach church

You’ll arrive individually to your hotel in the eastern Dolomites, settling into the peaceful Hochpustertal valley. Depending on the hotel, you’ll stay either in Dobbiaco/Toblach or Villabassa/Niederdorf. Take your time to explore the area, prepare your gear, or simply relax before the ride begins. If you’re arriving by car, there’s a free, unguarded public parking area near the hotel.

Accommodation: 3-star or 4-star hotel

Day 2: From the Dolomites to Cortina d’Ampezzo
Cortina in summer

You start cycling along a scenic bike path through the Höhlenstein Valley, passing Lake Toblach and a historic World War I site. The route continues past Lake Dürrensee, with views of the iconic Three Peaks on the way. After a gentle climb to the regional border at Cimabanche, you descend south toward Cortina d’Ampezzo, one of the Dolomites’ most famous mountain towns.

Accommodation: 3-star or 4-star hotel
Cycling: 30–35 km (19–22 mi)

Day 3: From Cortina d’Ampezzo to Belluno
Belluno city in Italy

Today’s ride is mostly downhill, following the route of the old Dolomite railway. Along the way, you’ll see Mount Sorapis and the Cinque Torri before continuing through the Boite Valley toward Pieve or Calalzo di Cadore. From there, a dedicated cycling path leads to Longarone, a town rebuilt after a historic landslide in 1963. The final stretch rolls gently into Belluno.

Meals: Breakfast
Accommodation: 3-star or 4-star hotel
Cycling: 75 km (47 mi)

Day 4: From Belluno to Feltre

We were tourists from out of town, and the staff here were incredibly kind and helpful. They went above and beyond to assist us in every possible way. If I could, I would give them 10 stars! Truly grateful for their warm hospitality.

This company was exactly what we needed for our cycling trip. They were very quick with correspondence and the information they gave us was thorough and clear. We didn’t have a lot of pre-trip questions but I got the sense that if we did, they would answer them happily and promptly. We had a little mixup with gear but they had a shop that was a 3-minute walk from our hotel and they took care of it. Highly recommend!
