I’ve been involved with Northeast Mountaineering for several years as a client in need of outdoor adventure beyond my skills. It all started with a conversation about climbing Mt Washington in the winter because the Mt. Rainer trip that I had planned fell through. Even though I couldn’t make the Mt. Washington trip happen, I contacted them a year later to see if they could schedule any Northwest trips. After discussing all the details with Corey for the trip, my first trip to climb in Washington state was booked and a success. Since then, I have climbed numerous locations with them, from Mt, Rainier to international locations to ice climbing in New Hampshire. Each trip they demonstrate their professionalism before, during, and after the trip. Communication, hospitality, and professionalism are what I look for as a client and Northeast Mountaineering has never let me down! They have adjusted to changes in the Itinerary, accommodated my needs as a client during the trip, and provided some great knowledge and excitement along the way. I will continue to use them as a guide service because of the unique talent and specialization they provide.
Great experience. The guides are all first-class and super down-to-earth. Staying at the bunkhouse was cheap and easy. Gear is all first-rate. On day one we got the basics down (my brother and I had no winter mountaineering experience). On day two we summitted Mt Washington. Our guide had been up 63 out of his 67 attempts. He knew every inch of that mountain and we both felt totally at ease. An awesome experience! Excited to come back for some ice climbing.
I am so happy that I found this place. They are professionals, friendly and responsible. Best experience!
