The three ships available for this tour—AMADEUS Aurea, Riva, and Cara—feature almost identical layouts and amenities, with the same cabin sizes and onboard comforts across all three (only AMADEUS Aurea features a pool). Around 46 dedicated crew members are on board, taking care of every detail to ensure a smooth, comfortable, and truly relaxing journey from start to finish.
AMADEUS Aurea is the newest and most refined ship in the fleet, launched in 2026 as the natural evolution of her sister ships. Her 67 outside cabins with panoramic windows and 12 suites with private walk-out balconies keep the river close at all times. On board, life unfolds across the AMADEUS Lounge, Café Vienna, Panorama Restaurant, and a Lido Bar on the sun deck beside the heated pool. Beneath it all, a hybrid propulsion system and heat recovery technology make her one of the greener ways to drift through Europe.
AMADEUS Riva is an elegant river ship built in 2023 for slow travel and ever-changing views along Europe’s great waterways. Life on board unfolds gently, with light-filled spaces and wide windows framing historic towns and river landscapes as they drift by. You can relax at the restaurant, Amadeus Club, Panorama Bar, and Café Vienna.
AMADEUS Cara is an elegant river ship built in 2022 for slow travel and ever-changing views along Europe’s great waterways. Life on board unfolds gently, with light-filled spaces and wide windows framing historic towns and river landscapes as they drift by. You can relax at the restaurant, Amadeus Club, Panorama Bar, and Café Vienna.
All cabins throughout the three boats offer the same thoughtful level of comfort, with private bathrooms, climate control, flexible bedding, and well-designed living space. The main difference between cabin categories is their location on the ship and how they connect to the river scenery.
-
- Cabins C are located on the Haydn Deck, the lowest deck, and feature a viewing window that brings in natural light while keeping the space calm and cozy.
- Cabins B are found on the Strauss Deck and include a lowerable panoramic window, offering open views and a closer connection to the passing landscape.
- Cabins A and the AMADEUS Suite are situated on the Mozart Deck, the highest passenger deck. Here, cabins enjoy elevated views, with the suite adding extra space and a walk-out balcony for stepping outside and taking in the river at your own pace.
The bike trails were well maintained and the guides were very helpful. The overnight stays on the boat were very comfortable and the food was delicious. I can recommend this trip to anyone who enjoys cycling and wants to discover the beauty of France.
