Over seven nights, we stay at three hand-picked bases across the Lofoten Islands, each in a beautiful spot with plenty of local character. For the first two nights in Moskenes, we stay in private bedrooms or apartments. Next come three nights in oceanfront fishermen’s cabins at Lofoten Napp Basecamp. We end with two nights at a waterfront hotel in Kabelvåg, which has a spa and sauna.
These lodgings are simple and cozy rather than luxurious. Some places are made up of separate cottages, each with a shared living space. Guests from the same group may be split across different cottages, and you may sometimes share a cottage with travelers from outside the group. Some rooms aren’t ensuite, so bathrooms are shared among everyone in the cottage, including mixed-gender facilities. Rooms are smaller than in a typical US hotel, but the shared living spaces are a great place to unwind after a day on the trail.
Note that exact accommodations may vary depending on availability, but will always be of the same standard and comfort.
Value for money! Very professional organization, nice hotels, nice trip planning with beautiful landscape!
