Njord is the name of the old Norse god of the sea, wind, fire, and storms—suitable for this adventure company with over 20 years of experience in Norwegian wilderness. In 1999, Eivind Nordeide started the company fueled by youthful enthusiasm and a genuine wish to provide outdoor experiences to young people that would make them appreciate nature and the environment. In 2023, a small base was established in Flåm, aiming to become a high-quality and well-established guiding company for the locals and tourists in the region.

Fjord Explorer - 3 day kayak tour

I can’t recommend this 3-day kayak tour enough!
The breathtaking fjords, crystal-clear waters made for an unforgettable experience. Our guides Sergey and Darren were not only knowledgeable and skilled but also incredibly friendly and approachable. They ensured our safety while creating a fun and educational atmosphere. The camping spots they chose were simply magical, offering a true connection with nature.
And OMG – food they made! It’s just unbelievable what they were able to cook on a camping stove. We also went on two hikes. One very flat and easy, just along the fjord. The other one more challenging, but we were aware of it and the whole group voted for it.

This tour exceeded all expectations, and I can’t wait to return for another adventure with Njord.

An unforgettable summer highlight in Norway!

A three-day fjord kayak excursion with two nights of wild camping was pure magic.

Our guides Sergey and Savanna ensured a safe and comfortable journey. They provided all the essentials (also food), leaving us to bring only personal items and a positive attitude! We explored Undredal village, Dyrdal, and enjoyed two stunning hikes with breathtaking views.
We were lucky with the weather and calm fjords. The second night’s camping spot was beyond words. It rained a little in the evening, but we were all cosy under a tarp for dinner and some socializing

Amazing adventure
Elena R (source: Tripadvisor)

Amazing experience, super well organized, the group was amazing, the landscape out of this world, and the guide, Sergey, the best guide ever: he was always looking out for us and making the trip fun and easy. Thanks for these three super cool days (with Mariah Carey fire included).
