Emily grew up in the Shawangunk Mountains and learned to sport climb in the Northeastern US, fully entering the world of climbing as a founding member of Crux Crush, a female-focused climbing blog. She's a sport climber at heart, and one of those Chicago residents who will make the 7 hour drive to the Red River Gorge in Kentucky on any free weekend she has. Some of her favorite climbs are Flying Monkeys (7b+) and The Return of Chris Snyder (7a).
