Above all, please pack light — remember that it all has to fit in a small kayak. Your guides offer open storage boxes to store your bags and clothes. Unfortunately, there are no lockers available. For larger items, we recommend using the luggage storage service at the nearby train station.
Here’s a list of the equipment you need to bring:
-
- A small backpack

- Water bottle or hydration bladder (1-2L capacity)
- Sturdy shoes for the hiking segment

- Rain jacket for camp
- Rain pants for camp
- A pair of pants for camp (may be cotton but quick dry is best)
- A pair of pants for paddling (quick-dry material only!)

- Sunglasses
- Camera — optional (but recommended)
- Snacks (biscuits, chocolate, energy bars or similar) — optional
- Bike gloves for blister protection — optional
- Pillow case cover (stuffed with a fleece jacket it makes a decent pillow) — optional
- Small flashlight or headlamp — optional
Please do not bring:
-
- Pillow (a pillow case or a T-shirt works great when stuffed with a fleece jacket)
- Cups, plates, cutlery
- Toilet paper
Your guides will provide:
- Tents (double) and a big tent / tarpaulin – tents are for 1-3 pax
- Dry bags for your personal items
- All sea kayaking equipment
- Wetsuit or paddling jackets – wetsuit AND paddling jackets
- First-aid equipment
- All cooking equipment, utensils and cutlery
- Soap for washing up
Try to avoid cotton – especially when paddling. Cotton does not dry quickly once it’s wet – making it uncomfortable and cold. Quick dry materials such as polypropylene, thin wool, or fleece will keep you warm and comfortable and they are much less bulky than cotton. Layers are best and don’t wear jeans.
