You can get there by rental car, shuttle, or public transport. Either way, plan to arrive 15 minutes before your tour starts. Your guide meets groups at a smaller car park about 400 meters back along the road from the main Silfra car park—look for the dive vans. This half-day scuba diving tour takes you into the Silfra fissure, inside Þingvellir National Park, for two dives of about 30 minutes each. We'll pick you up from your Reykjavík hotel (or meet you at the Silfra car park if you're driving yourself), then get you fitted into a dry suit before a full safety briefing covering signals, national park rules, and how the suit works. From there, we'll guide you down through Silfra's four sections—the narrow Deep Crack, the widening Hall, the Cathedral at 18 m (59 ft), and the open Lagoon—before warming up with hot chocolate and cookies. The whole outing, pickup and drop-off included, runs 4-6 hours.
