We’re talking the Callaghan area—locals’ playground, a renowned powder belt, and home to 50% more snow than Whistler! Just grab a ride with us into the Callaghan’s majestic powder bowls where there’s no other way in, so it’s just us and our crew out there. From the snowcat drop-off at Callaghan Lake, there are several ski touring options including Callaghan Peak, Hidden Peak, Telemagique, Pump, and even the option to do a high-elevation traverse! Whether you’re just starting out or ready for a challenge, we’ll tailor the experience to you.

Itinerary

Escape the crowds—and your daily routine—with a day of cat skiing in the Callaghan, just outside Whistler! We’ll meet at Callaghan Country base before riding a heated snowcat 30 minutes into untouched powder bowls only accessible by cat. Guided by an ACMG-certified guide, we’ll ski a variety of terrain, from alpine peaks to glades, and enjoy a full day exploring remote lines. The adventure wraps up with a scenic ski back to the drop-off point and down the groomed road to base.

  • We start our day in the Callaghan base area at 8am, meeting the guide, reviewing the plan, checking gear, and signing waivers. At circa 8:30am, we hop in the snowcat for the ride into the mountains, arriving around 9:15 for a quick companion rescue refresher before skinning into one of the prime zones.

From the snowcat drop-off at Callaghan Lake, we can ski tour peaks like Callaghan, Hidden, Telemagique, and Pump—or do a high-elevation traverse back to Rainbow, skiing a few lines en route. At day’s end, we usually ski back to the drop-off and down the groomed road to the base, though there are also tree-lined routes for a more natural descent. We’ll be back down at the Callaghan base area at around 4pm.
