Chamonix as Your Luxury Base: The Mont Blanc Hiking Guide
Chamonix is where alpine adventure began and it’s still the most remarkable base camp a hiker could ask for.
World-class trails, towering peaks, glaciers, cable cars that lift you into the high mountains in minutes, all packed into one valley with everything within reach. The access is phenomenal. But with so many options, so many trails, and so many moving parts, planning your time there can feel like a project in itself.
That’s where Violette comes in. She’s a hiking guide with Nuyama, based in Chamonix, and she’s spent years on these trails—guiding, exploring, and learning the massif inside out. The kind of local knowledge that takes seasons to build, she’s sharing in one hour. Which hikes are worth your time, how the logistics actually work, how to structure your days, and the details that most people only figure out once they’re already there.
This is your one-stop guide to hiking Chamonix and the Mont Blanc range straight from someone who lives it every day.
