Martina was born in Trieste, but as a part of the Slovene minority in Italy has always had a deep connection to Slovenia. After completing a project on community-based tourism in Ethiopia, she moved back to Slovenia and started MaroWays with her husband and hiking partner. Martina has dedicated herself to sustainable development and tourism that protects the environment and local community.
