Fábio Castro

Set in the middle of the Atlantic, Madeira feels like a place stitched together from different worlds: volcanic ridgelines, emerald forests, sky-splitting peaks, and levadas that carry you into hidden pockets of the island.  For hikers, it’s a dream. Wild, surprising, endlessly varied, and unlike anywhere else in Europe. In this webinar, you’ll explore Madeira through the eyes of Marion Chauvet, a seasoned hiking operations manager who has spent years discovering the island’s most awe-inspiring trails, and Fábio Castro, a mountain guide and local expert who knows the island’s climate, culture, and geography on an intimate level.  Together, they revealed the routes, stories, and natural forces that shape everyday life on this extraordinary island. Curious about the peaks and lush levada paths, or simply trying to understand what makes Madeira so special? This session will give you the clarity and inspiration you need. Tune in and discover Madeira the way locals see it: raw, beautiful, and full of secrets waiting to be explored.
