When autumn leaves start falling, my gear’s already waxed and ready. That’s Utah for you—while other resorts are making snow, we’re often skiing knee-deep powder. Our unique geography creates the ideal conditions for champagne powder so light it flies up with each turn. I’ll show you how to maximize every day on the slopes of the Wasatch range, diving into stashes that stay untouched for days after a storm. Our lift-assisted approach means less skinning and more shredding, so you’ll rack up more powder runs in a week of ski touring than many do all season.

Itinerary

Carve through Utah's legendary powder on this 5-day backcountry ski adventure. Our lift-assisted approach unlocks the Wasatch Range's hidden stashes, letting you float through more untracked snow than you thought possible. When you're not charging down vast bowls, you'll be soaking in Salt Lake City's vibrant aprés scene. We've sorted the essentials: comfortable lodging, local transfers, lift tickets, and AMGA/IFMGA certified guides who know every nook and cranny of these mountains. With every detail covered, your toughest decision will be which epic line to ski next.

  • We’ll meet you at Salt Lake City International Airport at 5pm for your transfer to the hotel. After settling in, we’ll gather for a safety meeting and introductions. We’ll go over gear checks, avalanche protocols, and trip expectations to ensure everyone is prepared for the days ahead.

  • We’ll kick off the day with multiple lift rides and ski off-piste at one of Utah’s renowned resorts. This will be a lighter day with minimal climbing so that we can focus on skill assessment and ensure everyone is in the right group.

    Meals: Breakfast

Skier on a slope on the Wasatch with a view of the valley and distant peaks.
  • Each morning, we’ll take a single lift ride to access pristine backcountry terrain. The lifts will help us spend more time skiing and less time climbing, with daily ascents ranging from 1,500 to 4,500 ft (457 to 1,372 m), and even longer descents with the lift bump! Day 4 will be a highlight with our full-day bi-canyon tour, taking us through expansive and varied terrain. After each day on the slopes, we’ll return to the comfort of our hotel, where we’ll relax, recover, and prepare for the next day.

  • On our final morning, we’ll take care of all the details for your smooth departure. We’ll part ways with great memories from the slopes and fingers crossed that we’ll tour together again!

One of the best ways I can imagine to explore the mountains. Already trying to plan the next trip.

Adam Wininger (source: Google Reviews)

Amazing back country experience in Alta. Really knowledgeable guides, literally some of the most knowledgeable in the world. Doubt anyone knows these mountains and reading terrain better than them. Felt very safe but also challenged. Strong workout too.

Josh Cook (source: Google Reviews)

Erik was a phenomenal guide. He obviously has a passion for what he is doing and the expertise to back it up. He made sure that we were always having a good time and brought us to some of the best skiing I’ve ever skied. 10/10 would recommend.
