Hiking Japan’s Izu Geo Trail: Chase the Best Mt. Fuji Views

Some people bag peaks. We’re bagging Fuji views—the kind that make you forget how to blink. We’ll spend a week catching glimpses of Japan’s tallest mountain from Hakone’s ropeway to Mount Daruma’s dramatic ridgeline, until it finally shows off its full glory from Panoramadai. But between those mountain moments, we’ll dive deep into the magical Izu Peninsula—wandering through misty forests to waterfalls, soaking in steaming hot springs, and exploring sea caves. Each night, we’ll unwind at gorgeous accommodations where dinner is an art form and breakfast is even better. We might come for the mountain, but we’ll stay for everything else.
