The adventure, day by day

This is the full-send version of the 9-day Champagne Powder Roadtrip. We link Kicking Horse and Revelstoke, then go all in with three full days of heli skiing in the Selkirk and Monashee Mountains. With a max 1:4 guide ratio, it’s all about accessing deep, untouched terrain and stacking as many quality runs as possible. You’ll stay in Kicking Horse and Revelstoke, with food included in Revelstoke, in standout mountain accommodations that make the off-snow time just as dialed as the skiing—everything built around maximizing your time in the mountains.

Day 1: Arrival in Calgary & The Journey to Kicking Horse
Vagabond lodge outside

Fly into Calgary, AB, grab your gear, and hit the road west into the towering peaks of the Canadian Rockies. Your destination is Kicking Horse Mountain Resort. You’ll be checking into the Vagabond Lodge, an exclusive, boutique mountain inn perfectly situated just steps from the Golden Eagle Gondola. Settle in, grab a drink at their unique split-log bar, and relax by the wood-burning river rock fireplace as you watch the snow fall outside the floor-to-ceiling windows.

Accommodation: Vagabond Lodge
Meals: Welcome dinner

Day 2–3: Conquer the Steeps of Kicking Horse
kicking horse resort

Start your mornings right with Vagabond’s legendary breakfast (think homemade scones, fresh waffles, and granola) before walking right out to the lifts. Kicking Horse is world-renowned for its aggressive big mountain terrain, boasting over 85 inbound chutes, massive alpine bowls, and sweeping ridges. Spend the next two days exploring the goods and testing your legs on the Champagne Powder capital of Canada. After a hard day of charging, retreat to the lodge to soothe your muscles in their outdoor hot tub.

Skiing options:

    • Ski in the Kicking Horse resort
    • Backcountry skiing with guides using Kicking Horse lifts for access
Day 4: The Rogers Pass Crossing & Arrival in Revelstoke
backcountry skiing revelstoke bc

Pack up and continue your journey west along the Trans-Canada Highway toward Revelstoke, BC. You’ll drive straight through the iconic Rogers Pass—which is the perfect spot for a world-class backcountry ski tour.

Arrive in Revelstoke and check into the Coast Hillcrest Hotel, your ultimate basecamp for the rest of the trip. Nestled perfectly above town with breathtaking valley views, the Hillcrest is tailored for adrenaline seekers. Unwind after the drive by hitting their steam room, dry sauna, or one of the two outdoor whirlpools.

Skiing options:

    • Ski tour at Rogers Pass with the guides
    • Ski in the Revelstoke backcountry with guides using lifts for access
    • Ski in the Revelstoke ski resort
Day 5–7: Selkirk Tangiers Heli-Skiing or Backcountry Heli Drops
Revelstoke heli drop

This is it—the crown jewel of the trip. Spend the next two days experiencing some of the finest, deepest heli-skiing on the planet with Selkirk Tangiers. You’ll fly deep into the pristine alpine bowls and untouched ancient cedar forests of the Selkirk and Monashee Mountains. Expect massive vertical, zero lift lines, and bottomless, untracked powder with every single drop. After the ultimate ski days, treat yourself to a therapeutic deep-tissue massage at the Hillcrest’s on-site Serenity Spa.

Skiing options:

    • Full day heli skiing with Selkirk Tangiers (Separate reservation: ~9,000 USD per person)
    • Backcountry heli drop in the morning and pickup at the end of the day (Separate reservation: ~1,800 USD per person)
Day 8: Deep Powder at Revelstoke Mountain Resort
Rogers pass BC skiers

Hop on the Hillcrest’s free ski shuttle and get ready to experience North America’s greatest vertical drop (5,620 feet!). Revelstoke is a powder hound’s dream, offering a massive mix of legendary tree skiing, wide-open glades, and incredibly long, thigh-burning cruisers. After shredding “Revy,” head back to the hotel to swap stories over locally sourced mountain fare at the Begbie Dining Room or kick back with a drink by the fireplace in the Guides Lounge.

Skiing options:

    • Ski tour at Rogers Pass with the guides
    • Ski in the Revelstoke backcountry with guides using lifts for access
    • Ski in the Revelstoke ski resort
Day 9: Departure
Revelstoke night time

Enjoy one last mountain breakfast, say goodbye to the majestic peaks of the Columbia Mountains, and hit the road back to Calgary (or Kelowna) for your flight home. Your legs will be heavy, but your memories will be legendary!

Same 9-day Powder Highway route, different kind of hit. This version trades full heli days for three days of backcountry skiing with heli drops in the morning and pickup at the end of the day. You still move through Kicking Horse and Revelstoke, guided at a max 1:4 ratio, but the focus shifts to earning your lines after that initial boost into the terrain. You’ll stay in Kicking Horse and Revelstoke, with everything set up so the days flow seamlessly and the focus stays right where it should—on skiing.
