As you conquer the peaks of Mallorca, surrender to its wilderness and beauty! On our 10-day hiking tour, we’ll summit 54 peaks over 1,000 meters (3,280 ft). All 54 are moderate hikes, really, with two exceptions. Puig Major, the highest peak in Serra de Tramuntana, is a restricted military zone, and Agulla des Frare requires climbing gear like harnesses and ropes. The hikes demand solid navigation skills, along with good fitness and agility to tackle Mallorca’s highest peaks. But with our experienced guide, this hiking challenge will surely be one of the best decisions you’ve ever made!
We will greet you at the airport. During the scenic drive, which takes less than an hour, you’ll have plenty of time to enjoy the stunning landscapes as we head north.
Our destination is Pollença, a charming town in the north of the island. It’s the perfect spot to relax and prepare for the hiking challenge ahead. With its rich history, picturesque streets, and warm hospitality, Pollença will be our home for the next three days.

After a good rest, it’s time to get moving! Just outside Pollença is Ca’n Huguet (a country house), which will be our starting point. Today, we’ll hike through Fartafix, where we’ll experience its unique flora and fauna. Additionally, Fartafix is slightly cooler than the rest of Mallorca, though the climate remains mild, thanks to its proximity to the sea.
Our goal is to reach the summit of Puig Tomir (1,103 m / 3,619 ft). While it’s not extremely high, hiking in this area can be challenging, with tricky terrain and scree slopes requiring caution. After successfully summiting, we’ll wrap up our first day of hiking at the Menut II Recreational Area, where a transfer will take us back to the hotel.

Today, we’ll be summiting Puig Roig. While it has the lowest elevation of the 54 peaks in the Tramuntanas, its proximity to the sea means it offers some of the best coastal views. Despite its lower elevation, the rugged nature, wilderness, and challenging terrain will certainly get the adrenaline pumping.
Today’s elevation gain is 618 m / 2,027 ft, and we’ll cover a distance of more than 17 km / 10.5 mi. However, keep in mind that the route is quite steep, so it might feel like we’re covering even more distance. We’ll finish our day in Pollença.

A challenging day lies ahead. Today, we’ll be climbing seven peaks—the perfect prelude to tomorrow, when we’ll add even more ‘Thousands’ to our hiking treasury. But we’ll get to that later. For now, our plan is to conquer the following peaks: Puig de N’Alí, Es Frontó de Comafreda, Puig de Massanella, Puig de Massanella South, Puig de ses Bassetes, Puig Criança d’Altt, Puig d’en Galileu.
Today’s hike will be the most challenging so far, with a very steep route and rocky terrain. However, the breathtaking views from all seven peaks will make it worth the effort.

Seven peaks in one day, yesterday, huh? Today, we won’t just double our peaks—we’ll double them and add one more! Yes, this is a hiking challenge, after all. So, the fifteen peaks we’ll summit today are: Puig de Sa Mola, Puig de Son Nebot, Es Frontó de Sa Mola, Serra de Teixos East, Serra de Teixos West, Puig des Prat, Puig de Sa Trona, Puig des Tossals Verds, Puig des Tossals Verds South Spur, Morro d’ Almallutx East, Morro d’ Almallutx Central, Morro d’ Almallutx West, Puig de Sa Torre, Puig de Sa Font East, and Puig de Sa Font West.
After setting our personal record on this hiking challenge—in terms of the number of peaks climbed—we’ll end our day in the mountain village of Caimari. With just around a thousand inhabitants, Caimari is the perfect place to relax after a day like this. Its peaceful atmosphere will surely help ease our tiredness.

In the next two days, we will explore the surroundings of Puig Major Massif and climb another thirteen peaks: Puig de Ses Vinyes, Pa de Figa de Son Torrella, Agulla des Frare, Serra de Na Rius, Puig Major, Puig Major NE Spur, Morro d’en Pelut, Penyal des Migdia, Penyal Migdia West, Serra de Son Torrella North, Serra de Son Torrella Central, Serra de Son Torrella South, and Xaragall de Sa Camamilla.
Our home for the next couple of days will be Fornalutx. It’s a little village with traditional rustic charm full of orange farms that is considered to be the most beautiful village in Spain.

After all these peaks we’ve tackled so far, we might think of ourselves as highlanders. But there ‘s more to be discovered. Our objective is to reach the three ‘Thousands’ (locally known as Los Tres Miles): Sa Rateta North, Na Franquesa, and L’Ofre.
We’ll be adding Sa Rateta East and Sa Rateta South to our itinerary today. The beauty of this landscape (a UNESCO World Heritage Site), with its stone walls and centuries-old olive trees, will accompany us throughout the day. Still, it’s important to remember that while we’ll be hiking through breathtaking scenery, the terrain can be rough and challenging. These three stunning rocky peaks are perfect for hikers looking for a tough, yet rewarding path.

Today, our plan is to enjoy picturesque landscapes, including lush forests, rocky peaks, and scenic trails, as we explore Serra d’Alfabia. The historic Alfabia Gardens are nestled in this area, which is why it is such a popular destination for outdoor enthusiasts. The gardens combine Moorish, Spanish, and Mediterranean influences, featuring terraced paths, exotic plants, and ornate fountains, offering visitors a captivating experience of both natural beauty and architectural charm. Besides that, we’re going to… Hike, of course! Our objective is to summit seven ‘Thousands’: Puig des Sementer Gran, Serra d’Alfabia North, Puig des Coll des Jou, Penya de s’Anyell, Puig d’Alfabia, Serra d’Alfabia Central, and Serra d’Alfabia South.

Known for its picturesque streets, historic buildings, and breathtaking natural surroundings, Valldemossa sets the stage for our adventure. And we’re going to hike around it! In the western part of Tramuntana mountain, our objective is to climb three peaks: Puig des Vent, Puig Teixot, and Puig Teix.
After another day of hiking, we’re heading back to our accommodation where we’re going to take a good rest before the final day of our adventure.

Today, we’re going to hike ‘just’ one ‘Thousand’, thefinal one! Puig de Galatzó, with a height of 1,027 m / 3,369 ft, is the only summit that exceeds 1,000 m / 3,280 ft above sea level on the southwestern slope of the Tramuntana mountain range. It’s one of the most popular hiking routes in all of Mallorca. We will set off on a circular route in the Estellencs area, which offers a moderate level of difficulty.
We’ll enjoy our final moments together before everyone heads home.

To fully enjoy the Mallorca Hiking Challenge, a good level of fitness is required. We’ll be hiking for an average of 6 hours each day over the course of 10 days. While most of the peaks on this trip are of moderate difficulty, two stand out as more challenging:
Throughout the 10-day journey, we’ll tackle steep slopes, sometimes with loose footing, requiring good balance. On one of these days, we’ll even summit 15 peaks in a single day! This hiking adventure will be even more thrilling, and if you’re in good shape, you’ll be rewarded with breathtaking views from the top of each summit. The starting point of your Mallorca hiking challenge is Palma de Mallorca Airport (PMI). Your guide will welcome you upon arrival, and an arranged transfer will take you to your boutique hotel in Pollença, a charming town in the north of the island. This will be our base for the next three days.
