We’ll spend our first night in the area at the Vibe Hotel Hobart, a comfortable 4-star hotel in downtown Hobart. For the next three nights, our home base will be the Bruny Island Lodge, a comfortable timber chalet situated on 860 acres (348 hectares) of pristine wilderness in South Bruny, overlooking Oyster Cove on Mickey’s Bay. With five bedrooms, four bathrooms, a games room, and a wraparound porch, the lodge will be our welcoming retreat after days of adventure. We’ll stay in double or twin rooms with shared bathrooms, with all linens and bath towels provided. Solo travelers may share a room with another guest.
Welcome to Hobart! Make your way to the hotel and check in from 3pm. From your centrally located hotel, you can explore galleries, cafes, restaurants, and wine bars. If you want to catch some fresh air, consider heading up to Kunanyi/Mount Wellington for spectacular vistas over Greater Hobart, Bruny Island, and down towards the South West Wilderness area.

This tour gave us so much more than we expected. SSV crew made sure everyone in the group was happy and confident. With such a huge amount of knowledge and skills Dan guided us through all types of paddling conditions so everyone enjoyed the experience and went home with many stories to tell. Along with Toby and Ben, the SSV crew also served us amazing food each day. We couldn’t have asked for more. Loved it! Thank you Toby, Dan and Ben for looking after us so well.
