Itinerary

Embark on a 3-day escape in Briançon, where e-mountain biking meets stunning beauty! We’ll navigate picturesque trails, climb scenic heights, and wind through vibrant valleys. Our journey kicks off at the iconic Col du Lautaret and continues to the serene Clarée Valley, ending on a high note along the French-Italian border. With breathtaking views, delicious meals, and plenty of good vibes, this trip is designed for those eager to embrace the great outdoors. Let’s hit the trails and discover the magic of mountain biking together!

  • For the first day of this introductory course in Serre Chevalier, we’ll meet up at the train station in Briançon and transfer to the Guisane valley. Today is the chance to slowly get acclimatized. We’ll set off for a 10-km / 6.2-mile ride up to the highest point of the day, the Col du Lautaret (2,042 m / 6,700 ft), an approximately 600 m / 1,968 ft progressive uphill ride among splendid scenery that will enable us to get familiar with our e-bikes and the different levels of assistance.

After a coffee break, we’ll head off and have several itinerary options depending on everyone’s wishes and energy. Then it’s back to Briançon for a thirst-quenching debrief.

    Biking: 25 km / 15.5 miles

  • On Day 2, we’ll set off to discover another valley in the Briançon area, the authentic and well-preserved Clarée valley. A nice and long day awaits us, and we will be able to check out how long our batteries hold. We’ll head up to the top of the valley, approximately 10-15 kms (6.9-9.3 ft) of progressive uphill riding that’s accessible to everyone.

For the descent, things are pretty straightforward. We’ll have 10-15 kms (6.9-9.3 ft) of fun downhill riding amidst some awesome landscapes.

    Biking on a mountain trail
  • We’ll start early in the morning to make the most of our last day together. Today we’re riding on the French-Italian borderline, from Montgenèvre or Cervières, amidst amazing scenery, with exceptionally good e-mountain biking terrain. Because good food is important, we’ll be taking an Italian break at the Mautino refuge. Be ready for an imminent landing at the gelateria for home-made ice cream in Briançon!

I loved everything about this mountain biking weekend! Firstly, the choice of itineraries, adapted to take into account the capricious weather (snow still present at the end of May), the superb and extremely diverse landscapes; bikes that allowed you to travel long distances in absolute comfort. The caring and attentive support of our super guide Maxime, who through his advice helped us progress and allowed us to take paths that none of us would have thought we would be capable of practicing. The choice of lodging, full of charm and excellent food, and delicious restaurants.
Only one desire: to leave again! Thank you Maxime and thank you AZIMUT!

The Briançonnais in VTTAE with AZIMUT, for a sporty and friendly warm-up at the start of summer, the best for me. 3 days in the valleys of Guisane, Clarée and Vallouise with the magical view of the Ecrins and its white glacier. Well done and thank you to Anthony, our guide for introducing us to these beautiful landscapes and the pleasure of riding in these mountains.
