Torres del Paine is one of those places that stops you mid-hike just to stare. Over six days, I’ll take you through the park’s greatest hits—from the legendary Base of the Towers hike to the hanging glaciers of the French Valley and the icebergs of Grey Glacier. But here’s what makes this trip different: instead of sleeping in refuges or tents, we return each evening to a comfortable 4-star hotel in Puerto Natales. That means full days exploring Patagonia’s wildest landscapes, followed by hot showers, good food, and a proper bed.

The adventure, day by day

This 6-day adventure explores the highlights of Torres del Paine with a series of guided hikes and scenic excursions through Patagonia’s most famous national park. We tackle the legendary Base of the Towers trail, hike into the spectacular French Valley, and cruise across Grey Lake to the towering Grey Glacier. Each day focuses on a different side of the park—from granite spires and turquoise lakes to hanging glaciers and sweeping Patagonian landscapes. Unlike most Torres del Paine trips, which rely on refuges or camping, this itinerary is fully hotel-based, with all nights spent in a comfortable 4-star hotel in Puerto Natales.

Day 1: Arrival in Puerto Natales
Arrival in Chile with birds

Arrive in Puerto Natales, the gateway to Torres del Paine National Park. After meeting the driver, we transfer to our comfortable 4-star hotel and settle in. The rest of the day is relaxed—perfect for stretching your legs along the waterfront or grabbing a good Patagonian dinner before the adventure begins tomorrow.

Accommodation: 4-star hotel in Puerto Natales

Day 2: Torres del Paine lookouts
Hiker lookout in patagonia

Today we head into Torres del Paine National Park for a perfect introduction to Patagonia’s landscapes. We hike three scenic trails—the Flora y Fauna (Aonikenk) trail, the Cuernos viewpoint, and the Cóndor viewpoint—each offering wide views of the park’s granite peaks, lakes, and open steppe. It’s a beautiful, well-paced day that combines short hikes with some of the park’s most photogenic viewpoints.

Day 3: Base of the Towers

Today we tackle the park’s most famous hike—the trail to the Base of the Towers. Starting near Estancia Cerro Paine, we cross the Ascencio River and climb steadily through the valley, passing lenga forests and alpine slopes. The final push follows a rocky moraine to the viewpoint, where the three granite towers rise dramatically above a turquoise glacial lagoon. After taking in the views and enjoying a well-earned break, we return along the same trail.

An early start brings us to Pudeto, where we cross Lake Pehoé by catamaran to reach Paine Grande. From here we hike along Lake Skottsberg with incredible views of the Cuernos del Paine and the Paine Grande massif. The trail leads us to Italiano Camp before continuing into the dramatic French Valley. Surrounded by hanging glaciers and towering peaks, the French lookout delivers one of the most spectacular panoramas in Torres del Paine. After taking in the views, we return to Paine Grande and cross the lake again by boat.

Elevation gain: 700 m (2,297 ft)

The team was very helpful and trustworthy during the planning phase of my trip to Puerto Natales and Punta Arenas. The rep was very communicative while I was on my trip providing updates on the status of my booked excursions. I was able to get some great recommendations from him on excursions into Torres Del Paine National Park during a national park ranger strike since some of plans were affected. I would highly recommend this group
