Ski Touring in Argentina

This is the kind of skiing you brag about. The kind where you drop into lines that make your legs burn and your heart race, where every turn is a postcard moment, and where the only thing better than the snow is the après. In northern Patagonia, we’ll chase the best conditions from Cerro Catedral to Cerro Bayo, skinning into couloirs, carving through old-growth forests, and finding the kind of untracked stashes that feel like winning the lottery. And when the skis come off? Fireside beers, fresh pasta, and stories we’ll be telling until our friends beg us to stop. (But we won’t. Because this trip is that good.)

Adventure highlights

  • Powder play
Ski the legendary backcountry of Cerro Catedral, Frey, and Chapelco, exploring untouched lines and hidden bowls
  • Tango vibes
After crushing the backcountry, get swept into the rhythm of Argentina with a fiery tango show
  • Homemade delights
At Frey Hut, the après-ski is just as legendary as the terrain—pizza, pasta, and much more

Jorge and the team are incredible, I can’t speak highly enough! I am not one for reviews, but our trip with guide Tomas was once in a lifetime awesome. Communication with us before entering the country was consistent and clear. Tomas was super knowledgeable on the trails about safety, flora and fauna, the cultural history of the region, and he was above all just very pleasant to trek with. Our accommodations throughout the trek were wonderfully coordinated, and we felt super safe the entire time. We will absolutely be coming back for another trek with the AndesCross team 🙂

Without a doubt one of the best adventures of my life. Jorge and his team are top notch; very skilled in the outdoors but more importantly they’re really great people who are fun to hang out with. The food was great, the terrain and lines we skied we’re incredible. I’m already thinking of when I can go back. Thanks Jorge!
