Your Pemberton guided backcountry ski trip will be based out of a spacious lodge situated 5 minutes away from the town of Pemberton. Containing five bedrooms, a full kitchen, two bathrooms and a couple of lounging areas, this unique lodging will provide your group with a comfortable and relaxing place to return to after days spent skiing. The accommodation also boasts a private hot tub, allowing you to lace your adventure with a dash of luxury!
Meals are not included in the price of the trip, but all food you’ll need for breakfasts and packed lunches can be bought in the town. You’ll also get a chance to explore local restaurants every evening during dinners with fellow skiers and your guide.
To enjoy this backcountry adventure, you need to be in excellent physical shape. You will be on your feet for up to 8 hours a day for 4 full days. You will need to manage controlled descents in variable conditions. All participants should feel comfortable on challenging black diamond resort runs and be able to carry a daypack while skinning up variable degrees of terrain.
Keep in mind that you don’t need to have plenty of ski touring experience to participate in this trip. You will always have a guide by your side who will determine your capabilities, teach you new skills and always prioritize your safety, while making sure the experience is fun for all participants!

You need to have some off-piste experience to participate in this guided Pemberton backcountry ski tour. However, if you’re able to tackle the most challenging resort runs, even minimal experience in the backcountry is sufficient (you should be able to ski uphill using skins and tackle steep, ungroomed lines). Your guide will take care of the planning, oversee your technique, and teach you how to better manage the terrain. They also have the experience and avalanche training necessary to keep you safe.

To get to Pemberton, most people fly into Vancouver International Airport, which is 2.5 hours away. From there, you can rent a car or take a shuttle service.
Once you and your guide agree on the details of your itinerary, your guide will suggest the best place to meet, usually at a predetermined location in town at 5pm, followed by settling in your accommodation.

We require all guides using our platform to have a COVID-19 safety plan and to make the details of that plan accessible to travelers. In most cases, group sizes will be reduced, guides will avoid overcrowded locations, and other safety measures will be met depending on the location and activity.

A $750 deposit to secure your place is due upon booking. The remaining amount is paid 2 months (60 days) prior to departure. Full payment is due ninety (90) days prior to the trip. Failure to make this final payment by the deadline will result in forfeiture of the trip and deposit.
Once the trip is confirmed, the following cancellation policy applies:
Deposits are non-refundable, but transferable at the discretion of your guiding company as long as the cancellation is made more than sixty (60) days prior to the trip or is initiated by your guiding company.
Cancellations to trips made less than thirty (30) calendar days prior to the departure date for any reason are non-refundable, but potentially transferable to another trip or date at the discretion of your guides. Any such transfers are subject to a 25% administrative fee and recovery of any sunk costs. No more than one transfer will be offered.
Your guiding company will accept a substitute guest should you not be able to attend, provided they meet the skill level requirements for the trip. Your guiding company reserves the right to determine if the substitute guest meets these requirements. Any such substitutions are subject to a 10% administrative fee.
If the trip should extend beyond the scheduled days for any reason, such as a higher commitment grade or bad weather, the extra days will cost $610 per day. This cost will be spread over the members of the group.
The guiding company reserves the right to modify or cancel any trip or course at any time due to unfavorable weather conditions, injury/ illness, or other reason without penalty. Clients will be notified as soon as possible. Cancellations initiated by the guiding company due to unforeseen circumstances (lodge closures, highway closures, extreme weather events, etc.) are refundable less any sunk costs.
