Your private floating basecamp

With some of our adventures, you’ll be staying at incredible liveaboards—these aren’t your average tour boats. These are purpose-built, high-end catamarans or traditional Phinisi schooners that serve as your mobile luxury retreat. Featuring private chefs, spacious cabins, and expansive decks for sunset viewing, these vessels allow us to reach secret anchorages and remote islands that day-trippers simply can’t access.

More than just a paddle

While the kayak is your primary tool for discovery, these journeys are packed with variety. Depending on your destination, you might spend your morning snorkeling with over 1,200 species of fish, diving in cathedral-sized caves, or taking guided walks to observe Komodo dragons in their natural habitat. From swimming with manta rays to visiting ancient religious sanctuaries, every day offers a new way to connect with the landscape.

What do people think of Sea Kayaking in Indonesia & Oceania?

They really take into account everything, the pre-trip communication is excellent. They involve you in every step in the process, there is a lot of discussion about suggested routes and itineraries. And what we like about the trips that they offer, is the unique experiences and the unique places. A few of the places we’ve been to, we’ve been the first people to do that area in a kayak.

Is it possible to give 6 stars? There is no possible way to pick out one single highlight of this trip, as there were so many, every day. Of course the location is amazing, but the experience of seeing it all from sea level, with our brilliant guides made it all the more astounding.

This was truly the trip of a lifetime. Don’t delay, book it now. You will not regret it. The only downside? You have to come back to real life.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Indonesia and Oceania are worlds apart, each offering a distinct, remote paradise that follows its own seasonal rhythm. Because these regions span the equator, the “perfect” time to visit depends entirely on which archipelago you are aiming for.

      • Indonesia (Raja Ampat & Togean Islands): These areas are at their best from October to April. During this time, the northeast monsoon brings the calmest seas and clearest underwater visibility, which is essential for both kayaking and snorkeling.
      • Indonesia (Komodo National Park): Unlike its northern neighbors, Komodo’s prime season is May to October. This is the dry season for the Lesser Sundas, offering sunny days and the best conditions for spotting Komodo dragons.
      • South Pacific (Solomon Islands): The ideal window is the dry season from April to November. You’ll find stable weather, peak visibility for diving, and calmer waters for island-hopping by kayak.
      • French Polynesia (The Marquesas): While much of French Polynesia is best in the “austral winter” (May–October), the Marquesas are a unique exception. They are often best visited during the austral summer (November–March), as they are less affected by heavy rains and experience lighter winds during these months.
      • Fiji (Yasawa Islands): For the best paddling conditions, aim for the dry season between May and October. This period offers lower humidity, minimal rainfall, and consistent sunshine, making it the prime time to explore the crystal-clear lagoons and dramatic volcanic peaks of the Yasawas.
  • Whether you need previous experience depends entirely on the adventure you choose, as our trips are designed to accommodate a wide range of skill levels. Many of our tours are perfectly beginner-friendly, offering calm waters and expert instruction from local guides for those who have never picked up a paddle. However, some of our more remote expeditions are rated as moderate and require prior multi-day kayaking experience and a higher level of fitness to handle potential ocean swells or longer distances.

It’s also worth noting that these journeys are true multisport adventures—kayaking is often just one part of the story. Depending on the trip, you’ll have plenty of opportunities to:

      • Swap your paddle for a stand-up paddleboard (SUP) or snorkel through world-class reefs.
      • Lace up your boots to hike to remote viewpoints, visit ancient religious sanctuaries, or track local wildlife on guided walks.
      • Dive deeper with scuba diving options in some of the most biodiverse marine environments on Earth.
  • Yes, every expedition is led by professional local guides with extensive knowledge of the area’s water, weather, and culture. They ensure your safety while taking you to hidden spots and secret inlets you’d never find on your own.

  • Generally, yes. While you should check each individual trip for exact details, most of these tours include your professional guide, lodging, kayaking gear, and all or most meals.

Depending on the trip, you might even have access to and snorkeling equipment, scuba diving gear, and standup paddleboards.
