Max grew up in the Pacific Northwest where his passion for adventure began to take shape. He has dedicated his life to outdoor recreation, active transportation, and creating great public spaces. In 2013, Max and his family moved to Richmond, Virginia. He has two small boys who spend a lot of time riding bikes and hiking with their dad, whether they like it or not.
