Dragi was born in Croatia and has spent his whole life on the sea. He started sailing when he was 7, and from there, he progressed to kiteboarding and windsurfing. He now spends the kite season in Cape Verde, where he has worked as a kiteboarding instructor for ION CLUB Sal since 2016.
