Tuscany e-MTB Trip: Ride, Wine & Explore

You’d expect Tuscany to be all about wine, food, and medieval towns. But there’s a side that doesn’t make the postcards: sweet, sweet singletrack. For eight days, we’ll chase the best of both worlds, linking raw trails with Tuscany’s finest experiences. In the morning, we might climb through oak forests to ridgeline singletrack; by evening, we’ll be sipping Brunello wine beneath Montalcino’s medieval walls. And before you know it, we’ll ride coastal trails with salt air in our lungs. Here, la dolce vita and epic riding go hand in hand—no need to rush either.

Itinerary

Ever wondered what's hiding in those famous Tuscan hills? Grab an e-MTB and find out on this 8-day adventure through Italy's most celebrated region! We'll ride everything from flowing singletrack to bike park trails, with elevation gains that earn those post-ride rewards. Off the bike, we’ll dive into Tuscany’s rich history with a guided walk through medieval Siena and savor Brunello wine in centuries-old cellars. Tuscany eMTB was fantastic! The riding was great mix of single track, historic areas and culture mixed in to make a wonderful trip. Our guide was exceptional knew the trails and the area so well we could just peddle along and enjoy our days no route finding required… He worked with our group to select rides suitable to each individual on the trip. The E-bike left you smiling no matter how many hills were in front of you. Have loved every Big Mountain Bike Adventures I have take…

The rides near Siena include a mix of double-track, dirt roads, and singletrack, while the rest of the trip features singletrack accessed by short climbs on asphalt or gravel roads. Most trails are cross-country style, with a mix of rooty and rocky sections, and they can be soft or muddy in wet conditions.

To make the most of this trip, you should be comfortable climbing and descending in control on mildly steep singletrack with some loose rocks, roots, and compact dirt. If you’ve been consistently mountain biking for at least one year and are eager to improve your skills, you’re ready for this trip!
