Welcome to Myoko! Settle into your cozy lodge, meet your crew, and enjoy a private chef-prepared welcome dinner. Soak in the atmosphere and maybe an onsen too.

Accommodation: Boutique mountain lodge
For 6 nights, you’ll stay at a boutique lodge tucked deep in the snowy forests of Myoko Kogen. Blending modern minimalism with cozy alpine charm, it feels less like a hotel and more like a thoughtfully curated mountain home—ideal for riders who value good design, good food, and good company. This is what to expect:
These Myoko ski holidays are designed for intermediate to advanced resort riders—skiers or snowboarders—who are reasonably fit and comfortable spending full days on snow at a relaxed pace. You should be confident on blue and black runs at most resorts, able to ride ungroomed snow, trees, and powder without major difficulty, and handle a full day on the mountain with breaks. For optional backcountry days, guests should also be able to hike or skin uphill for 1–2 hours, switch between uphill and downhill modes, and carry a backpack with essential safety gear.
To make the most of the trip, we recommend building a solid fitness base in advance. Regular cardio such as brisk walking, cycling, or hiking 3-4 times a week will prepare your endurance, while strength training with squats, lunges, planks, and balance exercises will support your riding. Adding yoga or stretching helps maintain mobility and prevent injury. Time on snow beforehand, even just at a local hill, is also valuable for breaking in gear and waking up your riding legs.
This retreat isn’t designed to be extreme—but the fitter you are, the more energy you’ll have for everything from deep turns to long dinners and relaxing sauna sessions.

Food is a big part of these Myoko ski holidays, and all breakfasts and dinners are included.
Your guides serve chef-prepared dinners on several nights of the retreat—think cozy, creative meals made with seasonal ingredients, inspired by Japanese flavors and alpine comfort food. It’s not overly fancy, but it’s thoughtfully made, delicious, and always served with a good vibe (and often a bottle of natural wine)—think slow-cooked meats, roasted seasonal veggies, Japanese rice bowls, soups, and small plates. The kind of meals you look forward to after a full day on the mountain! The rest of the meals are enjoyed at hand-picked local restaurants, where guests can explore the flavors of Myoko and Niigata.
Breakfasts are simple and Western-style—eggs, toast, granola, fruit, and good coffee to get you fueled for riding.
Most dietary restrictions can be accommodated with advanced notice—vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, dairy-free, or you have specific allergies, the kitchen team will do their best to prepare thoughtful meals for you. Please inform us of your diet when booking. While your guides can’t guarantee 100% allergen-free meals (especially in local restaurants), your guides take dietary needs seriously and always strive to provide safe, satisfying options.
