Born and raised in New York, Tate’s travels and work have taken her to over 70 countries around the world. After receiving her B.A. in Photojournalism from San Francisco State University, she moved to East Africa and started her work as a news and travel photographer, writer, and guide. She has seven years of experience designing and leading photography workshops in places such as the Arctic, Peru, Finland, Morocco, Italy, Botswana, Mozambique, Namibia and Zambia.
