This is not your average ski vacation. This is an epic voyage to the remote Arctic, where the incredible Svalbard archipelago straddles the wild ocean. Not a lot of people get to experience this surreal place—maybe you’ll even ski down slopes that have never seen a soul before—but over 9 days, you’ll get to ski & sail the many fjords of Svalbard. Our floating base will be a sturdy 85-foot yacht, our warm and cozy refuge after a day of skiing, and a professional chef will make sure we’ve got the energy to go on. Prepare for an adventure like no other—parting from the lingering Midnight Sun will seem like mission impossible by the end of the trip!

Itinerary

Come join us on this unforgettable adventure in Svalbard! Aboard a sturdy, 85-foot, steel-hulled yacht, we’ll visit some of the remotest corners of the Earth. With two hugely experienced guides, we’ll use our skis to reach and explore pristine, untouched slopes. Accommodation is in cabins aboard the yacht, all meals are included, as well as a dedicated crew of three, who will make sure our journey runs smoothly!

  • Make your way to Svalbard, a remote archipelago in the middle of the Arctic Ocean. Take a 5-minute taxi ride to Longyearbyen marina, which is where you’ll board the boat. Meet the team, go through a safety briefing, organize your ski and safety equipment, and allocate bedrooms. Enjoy drinks and dinner, either at a marina restaurant or onboard, prepared by the chef!

    Accommodation: Cabin on a yacht

Sunset in Svalbard aboard a yacht
  • We’ll enjoy a simple continental breakfast around 8am. Chat with the guides and the group about the day’s plan and pack for the ski tour. The chef will also prepare mountain snacks, typically a sandwich and some fruit. At around 8:30 or 9am., we’ll put on our life jackets and board the 5-meter RIB tender, which will transport us to shore. Attach skins to your skis, clip in your boots, turn on your transceivers, and we’re ready to roll!

The ski tour will often aim for a ridge or summit, with a thrilling descent back to the waterfront, usually arriving at a different location from the start. Around 3pm, the guide will radio the yacht for pick-up. Once back on board, we’ll be greeted with a warm meal and drinks, such as hot beverages or wine. For the courageous ones, there’s an option to take a quick swim in the sea! We’ll then sail to a new location. In the evening, you can unwind with dinner, drinks, and scenic views, and some may choose to help with sailing or fishing. Dinner is served around 8:30pm, and after a cozy evening, we’ll head to bed.

Meals: Breakfast, packed lunch, and dinner
