Itinerary

Some adventures change you—this is one of them. Five days of sea kayaking through the legendary Broken Group Islands, camping on remote beaches, and paddling through a landscape so wild it barely feels real. Each morning, we’ll wake to the sound of lapping waves, then spend our days weaving through hidden coves, old-growth forests, and shorelines teeming with marine life. No Wi-Fi, no stress—just epic paddling, unreal scenery, and stories we’ll be telling for years.

  • We’ll meet at 200 Hemlock Street at the Small Craft Harbour. The guide will brief us on a water taxi to the Broken Group Islands while we take in the breathtaking beauty of the coastline along the way. We will be dropped at one of the many sandy beaches within the Broken Group, where we’ll unload and re-pack our gear into kayaks. From here, we’ll have a kayak orientation to prepare us for our first paddle. We’ll aim to paddle for 4-6 hours a day.

At noon, we’ll stop for our first lunch break where the guide will prepare a delicious meal. Following this, we’ll continue to paddle the park. In the afternoon, the guide will decide where to make camp for the night, selecting one of the 7 designated campsites within the Broken Group. We’ll have a camp orientation and set-up our tents for the evening. Later on, dinner will be served, and each evening we’ll have a campfire where we’ll share our favorite moments from the day.

Each day, we’ll paddle and enjoy lunches on different beaches within the islands, with plenty of opportunity to discover the vast intertidal life, old-growth forests, and learn from the ancient First Nation Village sites located within the Broken Group.

Our guide, Nolan, took us on a spectacular tour of the Broken Islands by Kayak. We went not knowing what to expect and we got gorgeous scenery, whales and eagles and Nolan’s extensive knowledge of flora and fauna and camping. May is a great time to go!

Great nature, perfect equipment, very friendly and experienced guides! Guides shared a lot of information about the places we’ve seen and drew our attention to some animals that would otherwise have gone unnoticed.

Amazing trip. Extremely well organized and outfitted. The guide was amazing and the food was absolutely delicious! We had sunny days and cloudy days and foggy days. The fog made it even more spectacular. One of the biggest highlights was seeing a humpback whale!
