I’ve gotten outside with Erik on two occasions. Both adventures were a complete blast and I learned a ton. Erik is safe, professional, and a damn good climber. If you’re in the Sacramento area and are looking to take your outdoor climbing to the next level, Vertical Pursuits is the way to go.

I’ve climbed with Erik as my guide on two separate trips and recommend his services with enthusiasm! I’ve been climbing for years, but wanted to transition my intermediate outdoor ability into a more advanced skillset, especially on multi-pitch trad routes. I let Erik know that I wanted to improve my rope systems management, anchor building efficiency, and crack climbing proficiency. I appreciate that he kept my specific objectives in mind, and I’m happy to say that I’ve made progress in each objective area with his coaching.
