From the little I have experienced on my holiday with WW, I can see people and places are carefully selected, and held to a high standard with prices that remain almost affordable for all; curated to make the guest at ease at all times wether in the intinerary of the walks or the destination hotel/B&B stay. As a solo traveler I’m only sorry I didnt discover it sooner 🙂

      • Accommodation in hotels based on single occupancy (7 nights)
      • Meals as indicated in the itinerary (breakfasts and dinners, wine included)

      • Lunches
      • Personal expenses
      • Travel insurance
      • Guide gratuities — optional
  • To fully enjoy this guided all-women hiking tour in Algarve, a good level of fitness is required. The walks span from 4 to 10.5 miles (6.5-17km) with gentle elevation changes, maintaining a steady pace for 4 to 6 hours per day. The challenge lies in the distances covered (and potentially the weather if it gets warm), rather than difficult terrain or steep ascents. Strong knees, ankles, stamina, and overall fitness are crucial, but don’t be discouraged by the distances.

Engaging in activities like walking, jogging, cycling, swimming, and strength training beforehand will boost your cardio fitness and strength. Regular hiking practice with a backpack will also prepare you for this rewarding adventure. Rest assured, you’ll have a knowledgeable guide by your side, offering encouragement, regular breaks, and guidance throughout each section.

  • Here’s a list of the equipment you need to bring:

      • Duffle bag or backpack for your personal belongings and clothes
      • Day pack large enough to carry all the items you would need in a day (around a 25-40L bag)
      • Hiking poles — optional
      • Water bottle or hydration bladder (2L capacity)
      • Comfortable lightweight hiking boots or shoes with good ankle support
      • Hiking pants and shorts
      • Hiking t-shirts (wool or synthetic)
      • Middle layer (fleece is good) and a very light rain jacket
      • Spare clothes for layering
      • Casual clothes to wear when you’re not hiking
      • Sunhat
      • Toiletries (sunscreen, hand sanitizer, bug spray, toilet paper, etc.)
      • Sunglasses
      • Camera — optional (but recommended)

October temperatures in Algarve are warm, with averages between 18 and 24 °C (65-75 °F). Bringing a very light rain jacket is advisable even though rain is not that common. We suggest you check the weather forecast before the trip and adjust your packing list accordingly.
