Epic climbing awaits just outside of the Big Apple
Join Thursday, May 27th, for a free webinar with AMGA Rock and Alpine Guide, Marty Molitoris. Presented by AFAR Travel Magazine and Guide.
Climbing in the Shawangunks is proof you can have your cake and eat it, too — a short trip from NYC or Boston, and you’re face to face with some of the best trad climbs the East Coast have to offer. From climbing easy-breezy 5.2s to insane 5.13s, both single and multi-pitch, AMGA Guide Marty Molitoris has all the beta you need to climb in the Gunks.
This chunk of climbing paradise lets you knock off supreme routes of all grades, with super short approaches, to boot. Whether you want to stick to the Trapps, the main area, and venture on fun, historic routes or discover epic single pitch crags, the Gunks will deliver. Who better to turn to for info on the area than the co-author of the guidebook on climbing in the Gunks? Marty will cover everything from the Gunks’ rich past, to tips for the present, including picking the right route for you, which gear to bring, and where to camp in the area.
If you’ve got your eye on the iconic Gunks, this webinar will be your go-to source of invaluable beta. After his presentation, Marty will answer any and all questions you may have on climbing in the area.
