  • Join a fully supported 10-day cycling journey through the heart of Vietnam, from the coffee highlands around Da Lat to the lantern-lit streets of Hoi An. The route follows Vietnam's central corridor through mountain passes, coastal roads, ancient Cham towers, and endless rice paddies, with a rest day in Nha Trang built in for recovery. Bikes, gear, a support van, all included meals, and 4-5 star hotels are covered. The ride ends with a sobering visit to the My Lai Memorial before the final transfer into Hoi An, a UNESCO World Heritage town where the old town glows softly after sunset and the journey finally feels complete.

    • We arrive in Ho Chi Minh City, better known as Saigon, check into the hotel, and meet the guides, mechanic, and support team who’ll be with us for the journey ahead. A bike fitting is scheduled for 4 pm at the guide’s local base, followed by a casual welcome dinner where we get to know each other over local food.

      Meals: Dinner
Accommodation: The Odys Boutique Hotel or similar

      Welcome to Saigon
    • We leave early, grabbing breakfast en route as Saigon’s suburbs give way to open countryside. By mid-morning we’re on the bikes in Dinh Quan District, framed by banana groves, mango orchards, and climbing black pepper vines. Farmers wave, local kids grin, and we pedal through land long inhabited by the Cho Ro and Ma ethnic groups toward Ta Lai Village on the edge of Nam Cat Tien Forest. A mix of flat roads and gradual climbs brings us to a riverbank lunch, then about an hour more of easy riding before a transfer to Bao Loc, a highland town famed for its tea plantations. Tonight: the welcome dinner.

      Meals: Breakfast, lunch, dinner
Accommodation: Sandals Vista Hotel or similar
      Cycling: 62 km (38.5 mi)
      Elevation: +500 m (+1,640 ft)

      Bikers and kids in Vietnam
    • Today’s ride pushes deeper into the Central Highlands toward Da Lat, Vietnam’s cool-climate escape wrapped in pine forests and flower farms. We start in Di Linh District, nicknamed the Kingdom of Robusta, where coffee trees blanket the hillsides and we pause to see the cherries before they become the world’s morning fuel. Lunch is roadside and simple; the afternoon brings more climbing through lush tea plantations where the air cools and the views widen. A transfer brings us into Da Lat, and after dinner the central market is worth a wander: colorful, lively, and unmistakably local.

      Meals: Breakfast, lunch, dinner
      Accommodation: Colline Hotel or similar
      Cycling: 63 km (39.1 mi)
      Elevation: +950 m (+3,117 ft)

      Vietnam market vibes
    • We leave Da Lat and set course for the coast. Today’s route is beautifully varied: uphill at the start, then a long mountain-pass descent where pedaling becomes optional and the views are yours to take in, and finally flat coastal roads toward the end. We regroup at the foot of the pass for lunch, simple Vietnamese comfort food at its best. After a final push past sugarcane plantations, we transfer to Nha Trang, a beach city where we’ll spend the next two nights. Tonight’s dinner is well earned, the perfect moment to swap stories about the day’s descents.

      Meals: Breakfast, lunch, dinner
Accommodation: Sunrise Nha Trang or similar
      Cycling: 80-100 km (50-62 mi)
      Elevation: +800 m (+2,625 ft)

      Old guy cycling seaside
    • A well-earned day off. The beach and sea are right there for swimming or lounging; for those after a cultural fix, the Po Nagar Cham Towers, a sanctuary built in AD 781 and one of Vietnam’s oldest surviving historical sites, are an easy walk away. Lunch and dinner are on your own, a good excuse to explore the city’s eateries. If a local steers you toward Bun Cha Ca, a light fish-cake noodle soup that is very much Nha Trang, take the tip.

      Meals: Breakfast
Accommodation: Sunrise Nha Trang or similar

      Rocky beach in Vietnam
    • We drive out to Van Gia fishing village, where the morning starts with a roadside seafood market in full swing. From there, it’s all cycling through coastal villages toward the day’s headliner: Deo Ca Pass, a 7 km (4.3 mi) climb where mountains meet the ocean. On a clear day, the views are spectacular: deep blue water, fishing boats clustered in the bay, dramatic coastal cliffs. A long descent into Vung Ro Bay follows, home to an underwater lobster farm, before a few more coastal climbs deliver views of Mui Dien Lighthouse, Vietnam’s easternmost mainland point. We ride all the way into Tuy Hoa. Dinner tonight is on your own.

      Meals: Breakfast, lunch
Accommodation: Sala Tuy Hoa Grand Hotel or similar
      Cycling: 80-85 km (50-53 mi)

      Sea boats in Vietnam
    • We start right from the hotel, opening with an easy cruise through Tuy Hoa and a photo stop at Thap Nginh Phong, the city’s sea-facing welcome monument. The route threads through coastal fishing villages and along O Loan Lagoon, where locals farm fish, clams, shrimp, and crabs in the shallow waters, a vivid snapshot of everyday coastal life. After lunch near the ocean, a short climb gives way to mostly flat riding until we reach Mang Lang Church, built in 1892 and among the oldest Catholic churches in Vietnam. A short transfer brings us into Quy Nhon, a beachfront city with a lively local energy. Our hotel sits right on the shore.

      Meals: Breakfast, lunch
Accommodation: Fleur de Lys Qui Nhon or similar
      Cycling: 55-60 km (34-37 mi)

Cyclist walking near boats in Vietnam
    • After breakfast, a van transfer takes us out of the city past rush-hour traffic before we start riding. Today begins at Chua Ong Nui, a coastal mountain temple where a 70-meter (230 ft) seated Buddha watches over the surrounding communities. Three gentle climbs follow, each delivering wide ocean views, before the route winds through several fishing villages where enthusiastic kids make every kilometer feel lighter. Lunch is local and simple, and the afternoon pedaling is easy and unhurried, rice fields and small homes rolling by at handlebar pace. We transfer to Quang Ngai for the farewell dinner.

      Meals: Breakfast, lunch, farewell dinner
Accommodation: New CC Hotel or similar
      Cycling: 70 km (43.5 mi)

      Bikers and buffalo
    • We open the final cycling day with a visit to the My Lai Memorial, the site of one of the most devastating atrocities of the Vietnam War. The museum is a sobering and important stop, a reminder of what these roads have witnessed. Then we ride on, quietly, through rice paddies and fishing villages where colorful basket boats rest along the waterways. A few gentle hills and one last lunch mark the end of the cycling. From there, a transfer to Hoi An, a UNESCO World Heritage Site known for its lantern-lit old town and beautifully preserved architecture. The evening is yours.

      Meals: Breakfast, lunch
Accommodation: Anmira Resort & Spa or similar
      Cycling: 50 km (31 mi)

      Group museum visit in Vietnam
    • A slow morning in Hoi An. Wander the ancient streets, sip a ca phe sua da (iced Vietnamese coffee) at your own pace, and fit in one last taste of local food before heading out. Cao Lau noodles, Mi Quang, or a banh mi from one of the town’s famous stalls are all worth seeking out. After that, it’s time to say our goodbyes and depart back home.
