  • The Lofoten archipelago and the nearby coastline of Bodo lie above the Arctic Circle, and they offer superb ski terrain and conditions. Living aboard a sailboat unlocks access to remote ski terrain, set against a backdrop of rugged coastlines and wild Arctic seas. Our 8-day adventure, set in late winter and spring, offers optimal snow conditions, long daylight hours, and a great chance to witness the northern lights. Join us on this epic journey, and set a new standard for every backcountry ski trip that follows!

    • Today is all about arrival and settling into the boat! You’ll be welcomed aboard by the crew before checking and storing our gear and settling into our cabins. If needed, you can retrieve any rental gear, then gather for a review of the boat and important safety briefings led by the skipper and guide. We set sail across the Vestfjorden towards the Lofoten archipelago. This initial voyage, about 5–7 hours, is a beautiful introduction to the area—a journey through Arctic twilight or under starlit skies—before we anchor in a sheltered bay to spend the night.

    • These are our designated ski days, and we use our knowledge and flexibility to choose or adjust our locations based on the weather and snow conditions. Each morning, after breakfast, we assess the prevailing conditions and make our final decision on where to tour. We spend 4 to 6 hours ski touring before returning to the boat for nourishing après-ski snacks and some well-earned rest before dinner. Later, we set sail again, anchoring at the spot for the next day’s adventure.
