Colorado Adventure Guides
  • Push your riding skills to the next level on a comprehensive two-day mountain biking course in the Breckenridge area. Master intermediate mountain biking techniques, such as easy drops and jumps or berm and flat turn cornering, under the watchful eye of a seasoned local guide.

    • 57hours is committed to providing safe outdoor adventure experiences. We require all guides using our platform to have a COVID-19 safety plan and to make the details of that plan accessible to travelers. In most cases, group sizes will be reduced, guides will avoid overcrowded locations, and other safety measures will be met depending on the location and activity.

We also expect clients to respect local regulations and take measures to protect themselves, their guides, and the communities they’re traveling to. For more information on COVID-19 measures in Breckenridge, please refer to the official Colorado COVID-19 travel updates and the US international travel guidelines.

Please contact us if you have any questions or require further information. We are happy to provide you with the most up-to-date information!

    • What you get on this adventure:

        • A local, experienced MTB guide with extensive knowledge of the area
        • A half-day, full-day, or two days of mountain biking and instruction

Mountain bike rentals can be arranged by your guide for an added fee of $80 USD.

      What’s not included:

        • Transportation
        • Accommodations
        • Mountain bike rentals (can be arranged by your guide for an added fee of $80 USD)
        • Food and snacks
        • Personal gear
    • You will need to be able to bike between four and eight hours a day, depending on the itinerary you choose. After booking, your guide will determine the group’s skill level and capabilities and cater the day to your specific abilities. Keep in mind that opting for the full-day option means more biking, which can be strenuous even if you stay on beginner-level trails.

    • As long as you pedal on two wheels, you can book the half-day tour, full-day tour, or introductory course. Your guide will explain the different mountain bike techniques and body positions to get you feeling comfortable on the trail. You will progress at a level that is consistent with your comfort. Once you finally get the hang of trail riding, you will only want more!

The intermediate mountain biking course is meant for intermediate to advanced riders looking to learn new technical skills. As such, it is not appropriate for beginners.

    • Here’s what you’ll need:

        • Comfortable riding or athletic clothing, preferably synthetic
        • Half-shell biking helmet
        • Biking gloves
        • Closed-toed shoes
        • Breathable outside layer or jacket
        • Sunglasses
        • Water bottle or hydration bladder with plenty of water
        • Daypack with food and snacks
        • Toiletries (sunscreen, hand sanitizer, bug spray, toilet paper, etc.)

The pricing doesn’t include bike rentals, but your guide does provide a rental concierge service. If you wish to rent a bike, feel free to contact us and we’ll help arrange it.
Dress comfortably and for the weather in clothes you can move in. We suggest bringing clothing appropriate for the season. Layers are best and don’t wear jeans.

    • Group sizes and prices:

        • For these tours, the usual guest-to-guide ratio is 5:1.
        • For the half-day and full-day tours, costs per person decrease as the group grows, so it’s an excellent opportunity to ride with friends and family.
        • For the mountain biking courses, cost is per person and it doesn’t decrease as the group grows.

Mountain biking in the Breckenridge area can be arranged for bigger groups. Contact us prior to booking.

      Min. age requirements:

        • If you are older than 18, you’re good to go.
        • Children as young as 10 are able to go on trips with a legal guardian. That said, if you have a young rider strong enough to handle sustained climbs (either riding or walking their bike) of hundreds of feet, and rough terrain, then they may be able to participate on a case-by-case basis.

If your group has riders under the age of 18, contact us prior to booking to make arrangements.

    • To get to Breckenridge, most people fly into Denver International Airport 1.5 hours away. From there, you can rent a car, take a bus, or take a shuttle service.

Once you and your guide agree on the details of your itinerary, your guide will suggest the best place to meet, whether that’s at the guide shop or a predetermined location. The guide will choose the appropriate terrain dependent on conditions and the ability of the group.
